Enthusiasm[edit]
I notice your enthusiasm, but it is disturbing that it is overriding better editing. For instance, in your edit to Tin you mention the Tin cry. Did you not see the mention of the same farther down in the article?
And in the interests of readers, there are guidelines about what should go into the article Lead paragraph, see WP:MOSLEAD. Stuffing all sorts of interesting bits into the first several words might seem a good idea, until you think about it more. Hi, I'm still new and all here and I don't necessarily know everything about Wikipedia yet. However, what I can tell you is that I've been in the element collecting hobby for over 3 years and counting. The information given here isn't factually correct. Cadmium is NOT a blue metal, we can debate that all day. I've worked with this metal in the past and can tell you for a fact that it's not. I don't see the reason as to why that was removed as it is common knowledge at this point really. In fact, I'm going to correct that once more. Disturbing is slightly over the top here, and it's actually quite rude to use that. Like I said I've worked with these elements for a long time and it annoys me so much to see false facts spreading like this across the platform. I would suggest getting to know the workings of wikipedia a bit more, it's up to you but my advice to you would be to maybe edit fewer articles to begin with, to get to know how things are done, and then expanding your edits when you become more confident? If you come across things that you think are wrong, find a reference in a reliable source you can cite for it before making the change and/or discuss the change on the article talk page - this is not mandatory but would help users understand why you are editing established pages. Great to have an new editor. The follow statement is not going to earn much credibility here "I've been in the element collecting hobby for 3 years, and I have had my fare share of experiences with ..." Wikipedia editors just do not care. You could be a 12-year old in Timbuktu or a 90-year old Nobelist in Oxford. We just do not care. We like clear writing and good sources describing notable topics.
