Acting Presidents of the Russian Federation[edit]

thanks for creating the category. however, you didnt actually put anything in it, making it a bit pointless; if someone needs to categorise an article as such, they'll create it themselves; instead someone now has to spend time deleting a wasted and unpopulated category.

United Nations Secretaries-General[edit]

hi! i just wanted to let you know i made the changes to the acting, because this box is used to identify the succession. it is not intended to be an infobox, which would litter up the box with all sorts of qualifiers. ancillary data is in the related articles. cheers! --emerson7 04:49, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be moving content from multiple football articles into templates, only to transclude those templates back onto the same pages. Flags[edit]

Hi. You might want to read the manual of style on flags before adding them to any more articles. Basically we do not use them like that to show births and deaths in biographical infoboxes; think yourself, what does  United Kingdom have that United Kingdom doesn't, in an encyclopedia for adults? --John (talk) 17:31, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do some background reading[edit]

Quite a few of the comments on your talk page are really suggesting that you read a bit more about some of our accepted practices on Wikipedia - practices which we have arrived at by consensus, because they are useful to everybody.

Can I please commend another such practice to you - using edit summaries. When you edit a page, in any way (big or small), use the edit summary box to leave a succinct explanation of what you've done, and why you did it. This helps other editors when reviewing articles, and also helps us to understand your motives.

I have reverted your recent edit to Sovereign Military Order of Malta. The map which you deleted is used as the location map for both SMOM and the Vatican City, and is helpful to readers. I do not know why you removed it, because you left no edit summary! I think you would find it useful to do some more background reading about how Wikipedia works. Talk it out with the other user. That's the best way to handle it. Until some sort of agreement is made or the sides calm down, the page will stay protected. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 11:13, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 11:20, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Venezuelan flag[edit]

Why did you change the Venezuelan flag and coat of arms with images that do not represent the actual flag or coat of arms in the article Venezuela?. If you even look closely, the coat of arms you uploaded is not even the same as the one in the flag that you also uploaded.

I work for the Venezuelan government and I believe that you are misinformed or you might just be vandalizing this page on purpose. You can take a look at what the real symbols are at the official Venezuelan government web portal at:

http://www.gobiernoenlinea.ve/venezuela/perfil_simbolosp.html

Let me know why did you make such changes before getting a wikipedia editor in this dispute.

Mongolia on CIS map[edit]

Hello SeNeKa,

I looked at the CIS article and saw that Mongolia had been coloured in on the map as a participant in some projects to reflect that it "participates as an observer in a number of economic activities of the CIS", but don't you think a separate colour (maybe a light green?) would be better to indicate Mongolia as an observer? After all, I think Ukraine and Mongolia definitely fall into different categories since Ukraine signed and ratified the creation agreement and joined such projects as the inter-parliamentary assembly, while Mongolia has done none of those things.72.27.13.81 (talk) 04:11, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia formation date[edit]

Federal subjects[edit]

Hi, SeNeKa! While I understand your desire to improve the table in this edit of yours, please note that the outer table (the presence of which is discussed in much detail on the talk page) is not there simply to make things pretty (or ugly, depending on whom you ask). It actually allows one to determine the position of a federal subject in the table when it is sorted by population or area (a feature that your edit killed). The sorting capability, on the other hand, was included because the table is the target of multiple incoming links from the List of federal subjects of Russia by area and List of federal subjects of Russia by population redirects, which are included into the federal subjects infobox. After your edit, readers who would want to see the list of federal subjects sorted by population/area, will be redirected to this table with no indication of why. Since you started editing this segment, please have this oversight fixed as soon as possible (prefence-wise, I don't really care how you'll fix it; all that matters is that previously established backlinks should be making sense once again). Thanks.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 16:49, December 22, 2008 (UTC)

Kosmos satellites[edit]

Please stop unilaterally renaming articles related to Kosmos satellites. Both spellings are currently in widespread use, and there is currently no consensus to standardise on the spelling "Cosmos". WP:RUS supports the spelling "Kosmos", as does the fact that the vast majority of other Russian (and Chinese, North Korean, etc) satellites/spacecraft/rockets/etc use transliterated names rather than translated names, so the moves are inappropriate. --GW 13:28, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Dzhokhar Dudayev 140-190 for collage.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dzhokhar Dudayev 140-190 for collage.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Federal districts maps[edit]

Hi, SeNeKa! Thanks for updating the map of the Southern Federal District. I would, however, want to ask you for a favor—could you please revert that update and upload the new map under a new name? It would be helpful to us to have maps of both old and new Southern FD; this way they can be shown side by side for comparison. When the map is simply overwritten, that is not possible.

Also, would you be capable of producing a similar map for the NCFD? Thanks!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 17:29, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
