Yeah, I considered that, but theres been so much frivolous debating on that point in the talk page that I'm not sure a meaningful concern would be noticed. Maybe the talk page should be wiped of all old conversations?

Dont wipe the talk page, a bot will archive them eventually blanking or unessary removal of content is consided vandalism. Some things take time. A talk page is not a fourm or a almost every thing is noticed and this will be noticed. By placing the bias template on the page it placed the page into a catogory just wait a bit.
