I saw your post on my friend, Ann's page, and the poster (maker, lol) of the blog is imitating me. Funny, but offensive. I saw it so quick because her page is on my watchlist, while logged on. I'm putting a copy of your post on her talk page, the proper place to comment. You must be new: We use talk pages to discuss, and user pages to say "hello world: I am so-and-so." PS: I have spell check, and could not find the error to which you refer, but I do make mistakes off and on.--GordonWatts 11:41, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hi, many thanks for letting me know. I can't reply in more length now, as I'm rushing out to work. Hope you'll stay with us as a Wikipedian. Ann Heneghan (talk) 11:44, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sarah, I replied on my page - but I moved your post to the very bottom - you ought to put our pages on your watchlist to keep up. Don't overload yourself, though. Take care.--GordonWatts 12:03, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

(I mistyped; You can click on "history" tab too see where I changed "SO keep up" to "TO keep up" so it would be more polite --soorry for the gafe typo.--GordonWatts 12:16, 21 September 2005 (UTC))[reply]

From my page is this, but I've archived, and you might miss it;[edit]

Yes I see now, saying "you ought to put our pages on your watchlist to keep up" without explaining what a watchlist is is very polite to a newcomer. I don't know how I managed to get into an argument with you over this Gordon, but do you ever give up? Perhaps you should just let this one slip. Really what is it abiout the way you conduct yourself that makes every small comment turn into an argument? Or maybe I should paraphrase you: "Your move bucko?" SarahPhelpsjr 12:23, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't arguing with you. In fact, I think you did not catch my mistake at all, and I simply wanted to point it out, so you would see that I didn't mean it the way it was typed. So, it was my move, ha ha... I tkink I'm spending too much time online, so I may correct that. Thx again for your feedback.--GordonWatts 12:27, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I forgot to explain it to you; Sorry. You seemed quite bright -and I was sure you could figure it out; If you still need help, ask around, and one of us will helkp you. I'm over-worked and underpaid here at the wiki, but here's one for the gipper: You click on "watch" to have the page on your list, and then, later you click on "my watchlist" to see the most recent posts on those pages. OK, I'm overworking myself, but do enjoy yourself here. Take care,--GordonWatts 17:39, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

One more question[edit]

Sorry to bother you, but I re-read your post on Ann's page and was wondering:

How in the world did you find this http://byebyeann.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_byebyeann_archive.html blog?

I've put in a key phrase search:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22Perhaps+if+she+had+been+a+bit+more+helpful%22&btnG=Search

and it did not find that page, meaning it is new and Google.com has not cached that page.

The page does look new; How in the world did you find it?

PS: Although I am on "Wiki-break" as they call it around here, you're still welcome to reply, either on my page or otherwise, and I'll just archive any newer comments. Thanks!--GordonWatts 17:10, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Gordon. You sure are full of questions. I'm a big fan of the director Harold S. Bucquet, and wanted to find out peoples opinions of his film "On Borrowed Time". So I did a search for that phrase on Blogger, and Ann's page was one of the top results on Blogger search. Thankfully it has now been deleted. SarahPhelpsjr 20:10, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I tell you what, I'll come clean, seeing as wikipedia and the editors here are so fucking stupid. I'm not a guy and I'm not creepy. You see how everyone leaps to conclusions. This page is a sockpuppet for my real identity, SarahPhelpsJr. I'm not telling you my real name, although Sarah Phelps is close enough. The info on my talk page is true. Look, why do people on Wikipedia persist in posting large amounts of personal info? There are indeed creepy guys out there, which is why I support the campus Womens' defence organisation. God, what people need to understand is that: using your real name as your username is a stupid idea. using your real photo on your userpage is a stupid idea. saying your real city on your userpage is a stupid idea. saying your real year and month of birth on your userpage is a stupid idea. Hope I've given some food for thought. Is it really that difficult a point to understand?

Tell you what Func, why don't you just ignore me instead of addressing me. That always solves problems. We should all stop addressing our problems - and start ignoring them. Isn't that right Func?

SarahPhelpsjr, first, with regard to ignoring you, please understand that I am at work, and can only occasionally check in on my watchlist. Secondly, I appreciate that you have come clean. I would like to ask that from now on, you please only edit from this account. If you are found to create other accounts for the purpose of harrasment or to make WP:POINTs, I will block those accounts and this account as well.
SarahPhelpsjr, you could have simply started a conversation on Ann's talk page, telling her your concerns. She is a college educated, very intelligent woman who can make her own decisions. She doesn't need you to scare her with the threat of an actual stalker. It was very inappropriate, and I think you know that.
Er...speaking of work, I have to go now. My talk page is available to you, and you can email me at (FuncAdmin at gmail dot com). Please don't make our work on this encyclopedia any harder than it already is. Perhaps you can contribute to an article on the organisation you mentioned above, "the campus Womens' defence organisation"? Func( t, c, @, ) 18:11, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Block[edit]

Sarah, I've blocked this account indefinitely, as I'm losing track of who you're posting as, and what your purpose is here at Wikipedia other than to engage in what's starting to look like stalking of another editor. If you feel this block is unfair or mistaken, or if I've misunderstood your role in this, please e-mail me using the link on my user page and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.
