Greetings, I've been on vacation...I tried to stay away from all things internet. My wife and I visited London last week. Anyway, if you're still interested you can use the email link on my page as well. Thanks! RxS 03:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Meetup[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I understand from the meetup discussion page you are interested in attending as a Minnesota Public Radio producer. I should say that neither I nor anyone else has any official capacity to speak for the group on that: it's an informal gathering of people who like to edit this encyclopedia, which itself is a non-hierarchical project. I know some people at the past two such gatherings expressed a desire to not be photographed, and I suspect some will be more comfortable than others in talking to someone from the media.

Could I ask, just for my own interest, if you are doing a story on Wikipedia? Did you wish to tape participants?

I might add that I personally am a fan of MPR radio and a regular listener.

Feel free to reply here or on my talk page, or to email me if you wish.

Regards, and again welcome. Jonathunder 19:56, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, Sandboxes unite. All are welcome and I hope to see you Sunday! Can you answer the question about whether you wish to record or photograph participants? I asked an expert who thinks it would be best if the press attended off the record and not on. Could you let people know one way or the other on the RSVP page? Thanks very much and best wishes. -Susanlesch 12:36, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Even though you're not doing the story on democracy, you could still attend the Meetup. The last one was fun - very interesting folks.--Appraiser 06:45, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
