Raymie, since the nominator did not ping you when asking for clarification on this DYK nomination template, I thought you might have missed the reply. Consider this a belated ping. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:00, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of XHREZ-FM

The article XHREZ-FM has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is nothing here to substantiate the notability of this radio station. The article is limited to a basic description. A basic web-search only comes back with this wikipedia page itself and other radio stations with similar names, further showing the lack of notability. It's only purpose as an article is to promote the radio station.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. XHDEH

There's probably a lot of crap lurking in our coverage of Mexican television, mainly due to US-based editors' flawed assumptions that Mexico has the same structure of "stations" vs. "networks" that the US does. For the most part, I haven't been all that heavily involved in the topic area of Central American television apart from recently taking a couple of hours to clean up the hash that had been made of Guatemala and Nicaragua because of the same flawed assumption that individual stations would warrant separate articles — so I don't have a lot of experience dealing with the articles directly, but I have been involved in recent projects to clean up a lot of content that wasn't actually passing WP:NMEDIA. You're right that it should probably be redirected to the network, but given the original AFD conclusion it would be better rediscussed rather than simply being redirected straight away — so I'll initiate an WP:RFC on it. Bearcat (talk) 15:41, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

Since I see that so far the discussion has been only you and me with nobody else participating at all yet, I just wanted to give you a bit of an update on the next steps: if there's been no input from anybody else by seven days after I initiated the discussion, or if people do add comments in support of the redirect but nobody opposes it by that time, then we can go ahead with the redirect — so the target date will be Thursday, January 5. We'll only have to keep the discussion going past that date if somebody actually posts an opposing comment. Bearcat (talk) 16:23, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
@Bearcat: I plan on redirecting those articles when UTC rolls over to January 6 as there's been zero going on. That means we can kill off XHDEH and XHCDE, and with them, {{Camargo TV}}, {{Ciudad Delicias TV}} and {{Cuauhtemoc TV}} (and maybe even XHCHZ-TDT which has never had a distinctive local programming history). I don't see shadows or dedicated satellites (Cuauhtémoc has shadows of almost all the stations in Chihuahua Capital) as meriting a separate template, even if I find XHCH, XHIT, XHFI and XHABC merit standalone articles. Raymie (tc) 23:16, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
@Bearcat: I let it sit a good while longer and it got just one comment in the last three and a half weeks. I'm closing the RFC and moving to at least get rid of the Delicias articles and template. Raymie (tc) 03:41, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the catch...

Meant to say more in that Multimedios section but just wanted to get the most obvious information off the PDF on before I went further. Nate (chatter) 03:53, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

About XHTVM

What is the deal with this IP:2607:FB90:662B:85E0:3E6:F400:3245:3699 (talk). He keeps pinging me for the TV Azteca move when I had no idea this move request even existed. Back at the Spanish Wikipedia, this IP and similar IPs starting with "2607", vandalizes constantly many pages adding false information and last week made several unnecessary redirection pages. His Spanish, as his English as I can see here, is also incoherent. Can somebody help me? This IP used to be blocked.--MexTDT (talk) 08:14, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
