Which information was in violation of copyright? I am pretty certain I had not violated this. Can you clarify? Thanks. SallyMahoney (talk) 13:30, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If I remember correctly, it was the lead section. I removed it. Surfer43_¿qué_pasa? 20:01, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jamaica Bearings Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:57, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can we discuss more why you deleted it? I thought it was well sourced, according to guidelines. I really was excited about this article. Then, I was going to write a few technical ones related to bearings, kitting, fasteners, etc. after this one, all topics that would be great encyclopedic content. Let's discuss, I will adjust this article, and happily move forward from there. SallyMahoney (talk) 13:42, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sally, I tagged the version of the article that I saw because I felt it was blatantly promotional. When writing at Wikipedia, we must strive to achieve a neutral point of view and avoid language that appears to praise or promote the subject. The article you wrote, sourced from the company's own publications, and written in overtly promotional language, could not be allowed to remain. A fundamental rewrite from the ground up would have been required. That is why I nominated it, and I'm sure that is why the admin who deleted it did so.
