Image copyright problem with Image:U190.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:U190.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 05:11, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. Recently, I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. I am now writing to usernames on the hiphopWP who might be interested in helping with the punkmusicWP. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk as has been done well with hip hop. Finally, I am trying to gather support and opinions concerning the punk house article and specifically the Theta Beta Potata article which is currently in AfD (x2) at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Theta Beta Potata (second nomination). Please check it out and voice your opinion. Xsxex 09:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grammy Nominations 2007[edit]

I understand your support and adoration for the bands you have prematurely declared as winner. However, the results have yet to be provided. Until this happens, please do not edit the page, other than to correct false information. Thank you. Human historian 03:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just created this article on this very topical subject. The subject matter would make for a good featured article, so I am hoping to enlist your help to get it there qualitatively. Ohconfucius 02:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovo[edit]

Anything Kosovo/Serbia/or Balkans-related tends to be more sensitive than your average article so its no surprise that International reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence has bore the brunt of a lot of edit wars‎. You have a few Kosovo Albanians and a few Serbs editing it plus a few others (Mareklug is Polish and I suspect that he dislikes Russia so therefore he also dislikes Serbia). As for me I am American without any Slavic or Muslim blood in me (all my hertiage is from Ireland and Britain), but I must admit on this particular issue I am wary of the affects of Kosovo's unilateral declaration and I am also skeptical of the American govt. and the E.U.'s reaction to Kosovo's declaration. As for the Japanese and Taiwanese editors I understand where they are coming from as it must be frustrating for them that even Kosovo is recognized by more nations than ROC is (27 to 23), but it's just that the ROC doesn't belong on a list of fully recognized, normal states, especially when there is another category for "other entities". --Tocino 07:22, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ROC[edit]

I disagree with Tocino. I believe that ROC should be listed with the other states as its government has been in existance now since 1912. The government in Taipei administrates and governs Taiwan, not PRC. It has never declared independence. It has official diplomatic relations with 23 states. It also has un-offical diplomatic relations with around 90 states. [1]. The ROC was also a founding member of the United Nations in 1945. Yes the ROC is a partially recognised Nation as only 23 states recognise it, however so is PRC as only 171 states recognise it [2]. So the ROC has should be with all the other Countries which recognise Kosovo. Ijanderson977 (talk) 19:55, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:28, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
