Opinion on Salsa Lust[edit]

Hey Rumba y Son, I've seen you editing a lot of the disscussions regarding Salsa (dance). My www.salsalust.com link was lately removed by moderators because they say I have conflict of interest and I spam wikipedia. I genuinly believe the site is useful for all salsa dancers. It is an organized repository of video descriptions and information regarding cuban style variation, over 300 of them, and it's for free. If you could I'll be very thankful if you can write your genuine opinion on the matter on the disscussion page: salsa lust disscussion

Re:Salsa Music[edit]

Well, to start off, FAR stands for Featured article review. Now, in January, I made an FAR of Salsa Music here. It used to be a Featured Article. My review made it lose its Featured Article status. Anything else? GamerPro64 (talk) 04:32, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation =) Rumba y Son (talk) 04:34, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Latin American music task force invitation[edit]

Hello Rumba y Son! I've noticed your tastes relating to Latin American music especially on articles related to salsa music. I would like to invite you to join the Latin music task force a collaborative effort which aims to create, expand, and maintain Latin American music-related articles. If you'd like to join, please sign up here. Thank you. BTW, I'm a big fan of salsa as well so maybe we could work together on an article as well. Magiciandude (talk) 19:19, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite, but I currently do not have the time to devote to this project. I may be interested in the future though.

Well alright, I understand. At the least, take a look this, the Latin Grammy Award for Best Salsa Album. I thought you should know about it. Well whenever you have the time, you know where to find it. Magiciandude (talk) 14:52, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Salsa music[edit]

Saludos, fellow editor! I love when people try to preserve this encyclopedia and make it factual. I understand that some people are motivated by emotion when they edit, but that should not ever factor in our decision to change an article. Anyone with an elementary understanding of the rhythm of Salsa knows that it is foreign to Puerto Rico. The beauty of it is that boricuas, as non-Cubans, have contributed as much to the genre as the Cubans themselves. Cubans have never done the same with our music, which is pretty amazing. Despues de todo, la salsa es musica de origen cubano y no hay pena en admitirlo. Talent is talent and we have added a load to it. Thanks for your kind words, --Noopinonada (talk) 03:35, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

for the links to the very cool video of the Palladium dancers. I loved it! I think you made the split article suggestion? I could support it, but only if there was substanially more infomation for both music and dance. So, for now, I would not support a split. And thanks again!
