Wikipedia's policy??? Really??? what is it, to mislead people by putting any no randomly in population category, is that your policy? How ridiculous is this. Do you even have a tinge of right information about aghoris. Here you are allowing nonsense stuffs to be referred and restricting me from adding reference to an article which i have written by my own experience and knowledge of aghoris.is that even fair.? I don't expect justice from you guys. Because you are not " wikipedia " anymore it has beco Rudrom (talk) 00:15, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It has become shittypedia.

Aghori citation[edit]

Citations should be placed next to the material being supported by the citation, not inserted into the section heading. You can find more information at Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Spasemunki (talk) 06:50, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Man, how can i add my reference. Please tell Rudrom (talk) 07:16, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you are just trying to link to a blog post, which is not typically permitted. WP:EL has information on what kind of external links are permitted on Wikipedia. --Spasemunki (talk) 10:43, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You can just reply to me here. There is no attribution of who the author of the page you linked. There are no sources listed in the article. It appears to be a blog, which generally can not be used for a source or external link. --Spasemunki (talk) 10:55, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, that article is written by me.im the author of that article. What do you need more? Rudrom (talk) 11:01, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you were that concerned about authentic information then you would not have inserted '70 as population of aghori's' at first place. How ridiculously you have been acting recently. Here, im editing the misleading information regarding population and you guys removing it. If you can publish others journal papers and all that then why you are restricting me from publishing my article link just because it is an article.? Rudrom (talk) 11:08, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:RSSELF for Wikipedia's policies on using self-published material as a source. The article that was used as a source for the population claim (by another editor, not me) is from the Associated Press and a documentary distributed in India and says that there are about 70 at a time. If you wish to contest this, you need to provide a reliable source from a third party that presents a different statistic. --Spasemunki (talk) 03:38, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See dude,i got really seek of this overall nonsense.the thing is that i myself involved in this aghori stuff, i know more about this than any other third party official. When i came to know about this false population no, I rendered it by citing a reference. I might have annoyed you submitting it multiple times but i did it because of lack of knowledge of this platform. And for that thing i am not going to apologize any of you, because you too have reverted my changes multiple times and annoyed me. If you guys don't want to accept my reference, Its alright. Im not going to try again.my article was relevant to your wiki page content, moreover it was precise. I have not included any false information in terms of population in my article. Wikipedia's policy should ve like providing precise information and not accepting personal publication. Rudrom (talk) 04:17, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The link that you provided does not include any information about the number of adherents, so wouldn't be helpful in disputing the population that was quoted in the article, even if it wasn't a self-published source. It's also not OK to change the estimate and leave the previous source in place, as this misrepresents what the source is saying. I've changed the infobox because I'm not confident that the linked article was meant to apply to the entire sect rather than the individual lineage that was profiled, and because you aren't the only one who has questioned the figure. Please make an effort to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines if you want to make changes to articles. --Spasemunki (talk) 04:38, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You should take a look at my last reply. I didn't say that i provided population no. Because that is not possible, why so? I have explained that thing in my article that aghoris stays away from society, no one can count them, not even me. I objected only the no '70' which that unknown editor claimed to be exact. Im not arguing with you to add my reference because it doesn't matter anymore to me, whether you add it or not. Because it will not change even tinge of reality apart from misleading non indians who wants to study aghor cult. People trust you guys because you are wikipedia, dont be shittypedia. I can provide you strong proof to justify my claim but still you are not gonna insert my reference, that i know. So, im not going to do it and this is where this conversation ends. happy misleading. Hello, I'm I dream of horses. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Aghori because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia.
