Welcome![edit]

Hello, Rosied28, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Michelle Slatalla, have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can place {{helpme}} on your talk page along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Ifnord (talk) 19:09, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I now understand what you were trying to do. It looks like Ejquittner broke the references in an edit that can no longer be undone. Let me see if I can fix it. Ifnord (talk) 19:21, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rosied28. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Gardenista, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Rosied28. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rosied28|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message.

Ways to improve Gardenista[edit]

Hi, I'm Vexations. Rosied28, thanks for creating Gardenista!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please see WP:CORP for our notability criteria for companies. We really don't care what Gardenista has to say about itself. 5 references to its own website is excessive. Press releases are generally not acceptable as sources, and publications by associated sources (like Slatella) do not establish notability. We require significant coverage in independent, reliable sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Your draft article, Draft:Julie Carlson[edit]

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
