Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cgm serious sam ii.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cgm serious sam ii.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. If you can help[edit]

Well, I created the article List of enemies in Serious Sam, but now I realise it's missing sources. If you could think of any, please notify me. If not, then I'll see to it the article be deleted as original research. Thanks. --May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 18:10, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you remember where you got the info from? I'd assume a lot of it is in the game manual. I found this for SS:SE enemies/weapons, but nothing off the top of my head for SS:FE enemies/weapons. --Rodzilla (talk) 23:26, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I did use the game manual as a primary source, but how do I cite it? --May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 09:02, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I cited it simply as "Game Manual for Serious Sam II" in Serious Sam II --Rodzilla (talk) 13:39, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks again. --May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 17:33, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Can I ask you how much your server cost. Is it for a website? Also where did you buy it from? --82.20.1.184 18:41, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm assuming you're referring to this? If so, it was about $4000 at the time of purchase (if I remember correctly) and it is colocated in a data center in New York City. It's used for hosting multiple websites, including 2JDHosting and Seriously!. The server was purchased from Dell. --Rodzilla (talk) 18:58, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania in Atlanta![edit]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:50, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Serious engine 2 logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Serious engine 2 logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:55, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:E3summitlogo tm small.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:E3summitlogo tm small.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 09:44, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
