March 2015[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Hani Sarie-Eldin has been reverted.
Your edit here to Hani Sarie-Eldin was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://twitter.com/HaniSarieldin/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 10:23, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Hani Sari jpg.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Hani Sari jpg.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Hani Sari jpg.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hani Sari jpg.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Safiel (talk) 06:31, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Misc Media productions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Rashakhalifa. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Hani Sarie-Eldin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 16:53, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions for pages regarding living people[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

October 2017[edit]

Hi, Rashakhalifa. I see you added promotional and excessive detail to Hani Sarie-Eldin as early as 2013,[2] — your very first edit to the English Wikipedia — which made it look more like a CV than an encyclopedia article. Your second edit was removing tags about notability, referencing, and other issues from the top of the article, without fixing any of those issues.[3]. This looked very much like promotional editing. Now you have again added Hani Sarie-Eldin's CV, in an even more extreme and detailed way to the article.[4] In view of this, and considering your creation of the highly promotional article Mona Aboud, now deleted, you may be topic banned from creating or editing biographies of living people. I'm sorry, but I can't find that you have ever improved one; you seem to be here for promotion. Please respond to Sitush's post above about managing a conflict of interest. Thank you. Bishonen | talk 18:04, 4 October 2017 (UTC).[reply]

@Bishonen: looks like oops, they've done it again. Surely they know by now that this talk page exists; after all, they did thank me for my last revert of their efforts at that article on 4 October. - Sitush (talk) 13:20, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Sitush. Yes, they know this page exists — they have edited it. Rashakhalifa, it appears you are only here for long-term promotion of one person. It beggars belief that you have no kind of relationship with Hani Sarie-Eldin, and yet you have simply ignored Sitush's information above about our rules for conflict of interest, and my warning to stop making the kinds of edit you just made again. Bishonen | talk 15:09, 8 October 2017 (UTC).[reply]
