Talca[edit]

Hello Rakela!

I'm sure you will recognize the true author of this chaotic and pseudoaristocratic alteration of the article on Talca, Chile, hidden behind one of his many disguises.

I've seen a lot of rubbish but this paragraph tops them all!

I am flabbergasted that this user is still visiting a number of pages and writing fictitious recounts of people and facts and his edits have not been reversed!

Buneos dias Rakela. Desafortunadamente, mi español es ni bueno ni malo :) Pero,

I used to speak Spanish at a level 3 or 4 but I have lapsed due to a lack of use. The photos I used are from Radio Free Europe. There license information can be found here [1]. It basically says that you can use their materiel, which is copyrighted, so long as you credit them for the picture.

Hi, want to help with Swine Flu 2009?[edit]

I want our Swine Flu article to be genuinely helpful, and not merely formalistic. I have been pushing to include a 'Current News' or 'Current Situation' section. Quite a bit of opposition, in fact, I have been blocked once! I do not wish to deceive, whereas I do not think of myself as a radical, I think of myself as a middle-of-the-road-er, but maybe I am a radical! I am still going to push the issue, just a little slower.

Okay, you added Venezuela to the discussion page. That's the perfect example of the kind of thing that could be added to 'Current News' right on the main page of the article. You could cut and paste a couple of sentences, enclose them in quotes, publication, date of publication, clickable link, we're do it right, absolutely we'll do it right, but we're still get it in there as quick as we can. And someone else might later incorporate it into the article and/or update the table. Or you yourself when you have the time. (I still don't know how to update the table and it seems like a number of unnecessary steps.)

I ask you to consider the idea. If you find you like it, maybe you can help me present it on the discussion page, might have to argue for it, matter-of-factly, just lay it on the table.

There is also at least some support for including the very latest updates from WHO, CDC, etc, right on the main page of the article. Like everything, probably some opposition, seems like people really want to play it safe. Cool Nerd (talk) 21:56, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
