February 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ross Lowell, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Are you Ross Lowell's daughter? I'm interested in following on your assertion that your dad died on January 10. Can you show a newspaper report or memorial announcement that confirms the date? Otherwise, all we have in published sources is Feb 15, and Wikipedia must be based on verifiable statements. If you get the date published, we can put it in the biography. Yes I am Ross Lowell's daughter. I am trying to get a copy of his death certificate from my brother. Just because PDN printed the wrong date does not make it the truth. The incorrect date is now spreading to multiple sites and I am trying to stop the spread of this incorrect information. So far two other websites and his Wiki page all have the incorrect date because of the PDN post. If this is a private conversation, I can give you his wife's phone number so you can confirm with her that my father died on January 10th 2019. I have never updated a Wiki page before, but created a login to update my father's date of death. I have also emailed Holly at PDN who is the person who wrote the PDN article with the wrong date of death. Purplepeppergym (talk) 22:52, 22 February 2019 (UTC) Lisa Lowell[reply]

I found a "Day of Shiva" email invite my father's wife sent out, which states the day of my father's death. If you give me your email address I can send that to you. My brother is out of town and cannot send me a copy of the death certificate for my dad until Monday.

ALSO my mother was Anita Lowell (Kregal) I am Josh, Evan and Brett's half sister. You list me as Carol's daughter which I am not. Please correct that on Ross Lowell's Wiki page ASAP. There is no written source saying Carol is my mother. How did that incorrect info get on the page? Ross was married to my mother for 10 years and then married to a French woman for a year and then he married Carol and much later he married Marilyn Shapiro. Okay, good to know. I'll do what I can to correct the biography.
Regarding the email from Marilyn, that won't satisfy Wikipedia's requirement that sources be published. Also, this conversation is definitely not private, so don't give me any personal contact information. For any private points you can email me at Special:EmailUser/Binksternet. Cheers! I have the death certificate and have uploaded it to google docs. How can I get you the link? I don't want to post it here. Purplepeppergym (talk) 19:47, 23 February 2019 (UTC) Lisa[reply]

PDN has updated the obit with the correct date. Please use the 1/10/19 date posted in Ross Lowell's obit on their website. Purplepeppergym (talk) 23:26, 25 February 2019 (UTC) Lisa[reply]
