Botho College[edit]

Hi Wikipedeans I just editted the page on Botho College in Botswana. I tried to improve flow and remove clumsy or redundant language. (Botho is an accountancy and computer science college. Enlgish, as a foreign language, is not their major.)

The text seems drawn from the college's own promo materials, and thus has the tone of an advert. I tried to correct this where I could in this quick edit.

But for me the article is missing essential info I would look for in an encyclopedia article; like, where exactly is it located. It gives the names of locations of campuses, but that doesn't mean much to anyone outside Botswana. Are these in the north, south, east or west of the country? In an urban or rural setting?

Also who founded the college? How is it funded? Any distinguished or accomplished alumni that might be mentioned? I think this sort of data should be up front in the first paragraph.

As it seems that the info was provided by Botho College itself, (and their cooperation in Wiki events is mentioned therein,) perhaps someone could ocntact them and request such further info. It might help the article feel more complete.

I tried researching these questions on the net; but found mostly repetitions of the info in this article, all apparently emanating ultimately from the college itself. Puma prowler (talk) 22:35, 24 September 2013 (UTC)Puma prowler[reply]

December 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Michael Collins (Irish leader) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Explaining[edit]

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 13:41, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that Dragonfly. Glad you're on the case! Wikipedia rocks! Puma prowler (talk) 13:45, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Puma prowlerPuma prowler (talk) 13:45, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
