The article Randall Fontes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:12, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't worry too much about the deletion proposal. Your article clearly meets the Notability Guidelines and your sources are for the most part Reliable. Certainly enough to warrant keeping the article. Nefariousski (talk) 01:19, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions for Fontes Article[edit]

Hi Plantman, nice work improving the Randall Fontes article so far. I've made a few changes, and if you don't mind, I have a couple of suggestions for further improvements. First (and most important), have a look at WP:LEAD; the opening paragraphs should provide an overview of the subject and article, as opposed to being the beginning of the topic's chronology.

I would also suggest broadening the section headings. Start with one on his background, education, early career, etc., then move on with 1 or 2 main sections (==Header==) on his work, with subsections (===Subheader===) for individual areas of research.

There are also a number of external links in the body of the article, this should be avoided. Use <ref> and </ref> to create inline citations, moving the links to the references section. See Wikipedia:External links for more on this. Happy editing! Wine Guy~Talk 23:34, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Hi Amatulic,
I removed the Puthoff external link from the remote viewing page as it is only indirectly relevant. As a student and as a psychology instructor I worked with Randall Fontes on primary perception of plants in the 70’s and was lucky to have had the opportunity to assist in the research at SRI. I got to know Dr. Puthoff and Russell Targ.
I had not seen Randall Fontes for 28 years and a mutual friend put us together last summer. He has continued his research but very few knew about it and the world should.
In particular the SRI report “Organic Biofield Sensor” by Puthoff and Fontes is a rare document held confidential for 35 years it is now available to scientist to study. It is the only report that I know of that was conducted at a major research facility that lends support to the research of Cleve Backster.
This document could be considered a Wikipedia scoop in this field of study. Paste “Organic Biofield Sensor” into Google and you will see this is a very rare document.
This was my rational. Thank You
