Wikipedia is not a how-to[edit]

Please see WP:NOTHOWTO. Some of the LIDAR speed detection content is "how to" and should be removed. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 05:51, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a similar topic. You might be able to use the format on the LiDAR article. I did find some manuals on some of the lidar websites. Also, I tagged the two bulleted sections with {{prose}}. Wikipedia articles should generally be prose and not lists. I do like lists btw! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 08:03, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Jim. I was thinking the same. There are other WP pages on LiDAR in general and I have found some recent specification documents. Appreciate your help.. Foucault (talk) 13:38, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page guidelines[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Time dilation for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article; not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. Thank you. - DVdm (talk) 09:42, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Note: I have also removed your entirely unsourced addition to Bondi k-calculus. See my comment at Talk:Bondi k-calculus. And please have a look at our relevant policies about wp:verifiability and wp:original research. - DVdm (talk) 18:55, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft[edit]

Patrick, by the way, I notice that you are heavily working on Draft:Relativity using k-calculus. If you are planning to submit something like this as a regular article, you might want to know that it will not be accepted. I don't know what the idea is, but please have a look at WP:NOTESSAY and WP:NOTTEXTBOOK. Cheers. - DVdm (talk) 10:27, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
