Welcome new user[edit]

Hello, User:Palasko53, I see you've opened an account and made an edit to the encyclopaedia. You are most welcome and thank you for contributing. I'm Lumos3, one of the many editors here. I voluntarily work as a welcomer to newcomers.

I noticed your contribution to the talk page of Muktananda , though no doubt in good faith, has been deleted by another user. This was stated to have been done under the Wikipedia rule that discussion pages are not forums but must have a direct bearing on the content of the article concerned. SeeWP:TALK and WP:NOT . To be considered valid for the development of the article material must be backed by reliable sources published elsewhere. See WP:RELIABLE

I suggest you take your personal testimony to the website http://www.leavingsiddhayoga.net/ or the blog http://ritualsofdisenchantment.blogspot.com/ .

I'm posting below a standard welcome box with lots of useful links. Wikipedia encourages new members to jump in and make corrections and contributions to articles. I hope you are not discouraged and continue to make edits within our guidelines. I myself found the Be bold guideline particularly encouraging when I was getting started. I also found the Wikipedia:Cheatsheet a useful quick reference for editing text.

If you have any questions about the project don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page here :- User_talk:Lumos3.

Happy editing,

Lumos3 (talk) 11:56, 27 November 2011 (UTC) , Wikipedia Welcoming Committee.[reply]

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. In fact, you can create your own right here. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage. By the way, I encourage you to make a user-page for your account, to do this just click here.
