Hello Orphan Wiki. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of De Ferrers Specialist Technology College, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: the article has been vandalised and blanked, ironically by its original creator; but others have contributed so G7 does not apply, and there is a good version in the history to revert to. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 11:56, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

OK, yeah, I see what you mean. Orphan Wiki 12:00, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Links on the help desk

Thanks for contributing to the help desk. Regarding this, it's preferred to use wikilinks, also outside articles. Advantages include that new editors can see how to make wikilinks and that readers clicking a link don't risk jumping between the secure Wikipedia at https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Main_Page and the normal Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org. PrimeHunter (talk) 14:59, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Oki doki, I'll take care to use wikilinks in the future. Best wishes, Orphan Wiki 18:26, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar!

Thank you so much for the barnstar - I really appreciate it! I'm very sorry about the continuous vandalism you have had on your page, you seem to get a fair lot of it. Forentitalk 10:03, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Your welcome :). Ahhh well, it comes with the job... Orphan Wiki 10:04, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Let me ask you a very important question...

Why do you keep deleting what i put on Pro Greens page? I'm just giving the guy a few more ideas-like inspiration ya no? So please stop deleting them! (=

Edits like this, which is what I have been reverting, have no place in an encyclopedic article. You must remember that it is not a forum. All articles must be written from a neutral point of view. You've explained your intentions, and unfortunately, this sort of material has no place on Wikipedia. I hope you understand this, Orphan Wiki 10:27, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

No i dont understand? why wont you just let me do what i want to do? You dont own wikipedia ya no! So let me do what i need to do-and i dont need people like you stopping me!

Now you're just being silly. Please read the link I provided for you (WP:NPOV). They are the rules that we all must abide by here. No, I don't own Wikipedia. I just help to make it fit for what it aims to do. You may want to consider doing the same, rather than making it all the more difficult. Orphan Wiki 10:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

How am i being silly? I'm putting down my views on what i think;and your being silly by editing and deleting everything i put down...therefore your the silly one. I also make it fit for the people that read it are actually looking for. I mean they dont waant to read pages and pages of useless junk, so i make it more entertaining by telling them my views. So how am i being silly? Your the one thats being silly (:

If you read the article I am giving you, then you will see what I mean. Orphan Wiki 10:38, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

You expect me to read that, ya see thats exactly what im talking about, its boring! you need to make it more entertaining if you expect me to read it ;). I looked at it, and it looked like useless info like most of the things on here, so i didnt bother reading it :) :P

OK, you are obviously not willing to take heed and be helpful, so it seems that if you want to discuss the topic in an entertaining way, you'll have to utilise a forum. But not here, or on an article on an encyclopedia. I've explained the reasons why now. I do not want this conversation to continue if you are not refraining from replying to me in a stubborn, awkward and unhelpful manner. Orphan Wiki 10:47, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but that really made me laugh, your write so poshly :L! And the world would be a better place if it was just entertaining, so i win! Your just jealous, that i won this arguement and that your going to stop deleting what i put on that page! I won this arguement thats why your saying stuff like ,a stubborn, awkward and unhelpful manner. I mean, no need to be cruel :L ;)

Well, I'm glad I made you laugh :). So that puts a tick in the entertainment box... I say, utterly spiffing progress is being made! Orphan Wiki 10:56, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

utterly spiffing Your so posh,hahahaha :'] And yes, progress is being made,as you are finally seeing the light, and seeing that I AM RIGHT! And that YOU ARE WRONG! (;

How corking! Orphan Wiki 11:02, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Corking? weird word :L :| But errrrrrrrrrrrrrrm im glad you see im right ;)

OK, that's enough, this conversation has now wavered from the point. I've made it clear what the purpose of Wikipedis is, and I'm not continuing this discussion further. If you feel you wish to be constructive, come back to me, but otherwise, I'm done now. And in future, please sign your comments with the 4 tildes, like you've been advised on your talkpage. Many thanks, and all the best, Orphan Wiki 11:12, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

FFS, Your so annoying! and dont get mardy,i'll sign my name with the little [[[User:MLovesEminem|MLovesEminem]] (talk) 11:18, 2 May 2010 (UTC)] <--them OK! NO need to get so mardy :P MLovesEminem (talk) 11:18, 2 May 2010 (UTC) <--- Happy now! MLovesEminem (talk) 11:18, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

I would like to apologize

I would like to apologize for my behavior. I promise to stop immediately. I've been having a bad day and I just decided to take it out an inanimate entity rather than doing something stupid.--TheAnvilAndTheDamageToBeDone (talk) 18:11, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Apology accepted. :) I'm sorry you had a bad day. Let me know if you want help to make some good contributions to Wikipedia. Orphan Wiki 18:13, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

HAHAA, WHY ARE YOU APOLAGIZING!!That orphan wiki is the one who's always interfering, you shouldn't be apolagising! MLovesEminem (talk) 10:04, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

And you seem to be some sort of irritating stalker... Orphan Wiki 11:58, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi Orphan!

Do you have any idea why my recent addition to the Philosophy of Law section was removed? I had spent quite a bit of time on it trying to demystify "codified" LAW as it is viewed by those who feel that a well developed and unselfish conscience(ie. Thoreau, Gandhi, Martin Luther King etc) should not be considered a much better sin to commit rather than the excuse, "I didn't make the Law. I'm just here to do my job...and enforce it!"

I know Bramin rather well.

t/c Tom

Hello there. Wikidea explained the reason. Basically, you're best off putting expansions in the actual article, rather than in that sub-section, as he states. However, for a featured article, the content of your edit is a bit too along the lines of displaying too much point of view. Take care to keep it as neutral as possible. Orphan Wiki 18:12, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, yourself. Thanks for the swift reply. I checked out Jurisprudence as a place to move it to although even if it were allowed to stay there to be be blunt that seems like the trash bin compared to the hits Law must get as opposed to who goes to Jurisprudence on Wiki. And while I know "neutral" is something which is best left to colors I also knew I was going to have trouble with the colorful across the board links to other Wiki pages I brought together allowing the reader to draw his or hers own conclusions to the philosophical questions I, in good faith, tried to raise with what I considered to be a VERY objective two paragraphs.

And while I know, equally as well, we all have our prejudices I have been fairly consistent with trying to keep mine "neutral". Especially with my long term prejudice of seeking to make it legal to keep gays, women and blacks(though not necessarily in that order) out of ALL the armed forces...along with of course any other color heterosexual males. And I would have added carrier passenger pigeons but to the best of my knowledge the last of that species died tragically, only a moment ago as the stars measure time, in the never ending War that we have been waging upon ourselves to assure that if it in fact ever ends it is going to be at any moment now using all of the WMD at humanity's disposal...simultaneously.

Be well...it's a very dangerous world...EVERYWHERE! Tom

"I've seen the future and, brother...it's MURDER!" Leonard Cohen(Editorial threats from his lyrics. You'll just have to take my word for it. I'm too lazy to search my own memory bank for the actual name of the song. Besides he's Jewish...and I have never been able to remain objective about his poem... "Flowers for Goebbels the Brain Mole". I adored it!)

Hey, there's a big editnotice on that article warning that vandals will be blocked without warning so don't bother with warnings. Just report them straight to AIV. The idea is to avoid having to semi-protect the article. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:29, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Oki doki, I'll do just that. Good idea, makes sense. :) Orphan Wiki 18:32, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
I thought so ;). If I can avoid protecting it, I will, because there are a lot of good edits being made by people who'd be locked out if I semi protected it. Keep up the reverting, though- you're doing a good job. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:21, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, absolutely, and the vandalism will gradually calm down over the next few days...well I say that, but the affair with the hung parliament will probably mean prolonged disruption. But yes, it is important to encourage the good editors also. Many thanks btw :) Orphan Wiki 19:24, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi Orphan, I saw the vandal's history show an edit to my page but by the time I got there, you took care of it. Thanks, and "see" you around. Bento00 (talk) 19:36, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. :) All the best, Orphan Wiki 19:37, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Longest serving soap actors

Hi Orphan i tried to edit longest serving soap actors but it all went wrong sorry for any Inconvenience —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.151.62.141 (talk) 10:24, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey man, no worries. If you're unsure of what to do, just give it a whizz at the soapbox, or ask at the help desk before trying it on the article. That way, other users don't think you're purposely causing trouble. All the best, Orphan Wiki 10:30, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
