Skinner Butte[edit]

Howdy! I've reverted a change you made to the Skinner Butte article. Your edit added a definate slant to the description of the cross removal story, and that violates the WP:NPOV policy that guides our contributions here. Take a moment to look at that, please. Other than that, welcome to wikipedia! - CHAIRBOY () 16:49, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

C'mon, please don't just restore the edit without making any changes. Not only does it push a POV, but it's also in error. The protesters were not non-native Oregonians. I've got to revert the change again, I hope you'll reconsider the text and fix it. If you restore it again without discussion, I might need to temporarilly block you so we can focus on discussing this, and I'd rather not. - CHAIRBOY () 17:07, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're right[edit]

I did get kinda wierd.

Fixed it so that it's not only official history (as recorded by the courts), but NPOV.

Edit warring[edit]

Just letting you know that there is no reason to re-insert controversial material into an article if another editor in good faith removed it. When you constantly revert the actions of other editors, this is considered disruptive editing. It is fine to make bold edits, but if someone disagrees with your bold edit, the proper course of action is NOT to revert them back, but instead go to the talk page and discuss the issues in more detail. Say specifically what you feel is wrong with the article, and make a concrete proposal for others to discuss. On wikipedia, we are all part of the same community, working together. Great articles are created by editors working together and coming to a consensus as a group. Great articles are never created through edit warring, and trying to force controversial edits against the wishes of other editors in good standing. Please remember this, and in the future, don't revert back if you get reverted, but instead discuss on the talk page in order to form a compromise that all parties can be happy with. Also remember, that excessive edit warring can result in you being blocked. Thanks.-Andrew c [talk] 19:24, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
