January 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Stencil graffiti do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Mayalld (talk) 15:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Mayalld (talk) 15:23, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Bourne[edit]

There is already an article on Robert Bourne. Why are you editing the references to him? Regards, WWGB (talk) 11:55, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Bourne(Rower) is incorrect on two counts. There should be a space after Bourne, and Rower should be rower. Unless you make your intentions clear in edit summaries, it just looks like a duplicate article.
I have made a few cosmetic changes to the article, mainly putting media citations inline and showing the external links as titles. It's a very good effort for a first article. Congrats! Regards, WWGB (talk) 14:08, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As you may have seen, another editor has stepped in and renamed the article Robert Bourne (developer). Robert Bourne is now just a redirect to the Robert Bourne (disambiguation) page. Oh, well ... WWGB (talk) 06:40, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Bourne-Capital-Logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bourne-Capital-Logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 01:45, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
