Changing signature[edit]

I'm sure you mean well, but it's probably not appropriate to edit your comments on talk pages, even if you've changed your username. —Remember the dot (t) 17:52, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How so? I'm trying to remove my real name from Wikipedia as far as possible (obviously I can't remove it from histories etc). If it's viewed as disruptive then of course I will stop, but I can't really see any issue with it. →Ollie (talkcontribs) 17:57, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what did you want to talk to me about —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr.Toasty7478 (talkcontribs) 00:57, 9 March 2007 UTC

Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:

If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 13:18, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Vandalism"[edit]

Hi Ollie. Please be careful with "rvv" as in this diff ([1]). I couldn't see any vandalism. Cheers, --Dweller 10:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

lol. No worries. Glad to have sorted that. --Dweller 15:13, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HEy Ollie mate, umm, i havent deleted anything- just added sum stuff- so please umm dont tell me to do something im not- coz that would be like hypocritical to the max- please read the references because there is a lot of similarity between curtley ambrose and stuart clark- and Amrbose said that himself- and those quotes are genunine- and off their respective sources during broadcast.

Now im just editing back- Cricketfan100

The sources don't back up what you are saying. The Lara quote is comparing the retirement of great bowlers from great teams, not saying how Clark is anything like Ambrose. Even if someone had compared the two, you are giving it massively undue weight in the article - half the article is way too much. Also, you are changing the player stats back to an older version. I'm going to revert your changes. I suggest that if you really want to add the Ambrose stuff, you trim it down massively and add a reliable source. →Ollie (talkcontribs) 16:05, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you...[edit]

...for your kind words and support during my recent disputes with certain people on the site. I'm quite busy at the moment but I expect to be contributing again very soon. All the best. --BlackJack | talk page 14:51, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query On 2 April, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jan du Plessis, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Template:Precedence[edit]

I like your solution to this, well done.--padraig3uk 13:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ollie! Thanks for the input on JB King. The chart that you started looks excellent. I've decided that my chart-making skills are too subpar to get anywhere on it. When you get a chance, could you finish up the statistics for good Mr King and put them up? I would appreciate it very much.--Eva bd 17:01, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much. Looks GREAT!--Eva bd 11:56, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ollie, Thank you for your note. I understand. If I add details such as date of birth then I should add a reference? Also I notice that entry for Laurence Street has a nasty pic posted.

Since last note from you Gimboid has been deleting all my references. He has not however deleted the information I have added. What gives with Gimboid?

Thank's for telling me about the copyright stuff. You may have saved me from a block.-Joe Jacard

As you suggested, I merged the Railway trip stop article into the Train stop article. I would appreciate it if you would take a look at it and make any further changes you think are appropriate. Thanks again for finding this duplication. Truthanado 00:31, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How do you delete a page? -Joe Jacard

Here's how...

Just So Ya Know...[edit]

Creating Templates[edit]

Do you know how to create templates? Do you have to be an administrator?—Joe Jacard 01:02, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is how I replied...

FL criteria[edit]

In response to the comment on Indian national cricket captains that you weren't aware of the FL criteria, there goes the link - click here. You could also consult some of the current related FL material - Australian national cricket captains, English national cricket captains, New Zealand national cricket captains and Zimbabwean national cricket captains. Hope you can review the FLC and provide your vote. Kalyan 18:12, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And my response...

Use of fair use images[edit]

Is it alright to use your fair-use rationale as a template for the ones that I use on my images?

Please can you respond to my usertalk page. Thanks Dreamweaverjack 21:51, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
