O or Vishwin60?

Hello,I just want to now...you have two user names. And...well...I am just wondering why. By the way, your contribution of the "Vandal Proof" userbox was a wonderful help to Wikipedia--Angel David 00:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

If you look in vishwin60's block log and change the view to all logs, you'll see that I've changed/usurped my username. O (this account) is my main account, and vishwin60 is now just used as a secondary account for when I edit on a public computer (example in a cybercafe). Hope that clears things up, (O - RLY?) 07:42, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Closing RfAs

If you are going to close RfAs, please follow the instructions on WP:CRAT completely, which includes archiving the nominations into the successful/unsuccessful pages. Also, please don't close them after 5 votes. It's important to remember that WP:SNOW is an essay, not a policy, so closing an RfA after just 5 votes is too early, really. If you're not sure when to close it, I'd suggest just leaving it to a bureaucrat. --Deskana (talky) 09:57, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Fort Bend Westpark Tollway shield.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Fort Bend Westpark Tollway shield.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:02, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Per WP:LOGO, fair-use images should be uploaded in PNG format and not SVG format since svg is a high resolution format. PNG is the preferred format for fair-use images. --Holderca1 14:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Actually WP:LOGO only says that "For SVG formats, versions of the logo that contain significantly more detail than is necessary to display at the desired (low) resolution should be avoided." --NE2 23:20, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
SVG file resolution can also be scaled down just like PNG. If some SVG file has a really low resolution and no size arguments are passed, it will display at that low resolution. Uploading the low resolution [fair use] SVGs should be okay, but the high resolution ones should either be scaled down or trashed. —O () 20:18, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Quality

Got ya. As I had said to Scott, I will immeaditly go right to improving the articles that I had created as soon as I finish up on the active routes (15 to go at the time of signing this).

I figure that if I at least get the active route pages created (even if they are stubs), someone that might know about the route, that might not exactly take the initative to create the page, for any reason (like not familar with the style of how to create the pages), might see that a page is created, and can help add to it.

As I had said though, as soon as I finish up on getting pages created for the active routes, I will immeaditly go to working on expanding the articles that I created. Thanks for your understanding. Whammies Were Here 03:15, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok then, Ill do that, but I would think with the argument of expansion after creation being a bad idea, just because there might just be some that would be more willing to help out with expanding articles if they are at least there, or at least you have a stub with at least the basic set up for the route, it would be easier for others to expand.
But if you want me to hold off on finishing up the creation of the rest of the routes, I will do that for now. Whammies Were Here 03:33, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Zeitgeist the Movie

I'm trying to work out why this film has been barred from having an entry on Wikipedia. I noticed that you were involved in some of the debate and so I thought to check in and ask you for your opinion.

It doesn't seem to me that it can realistically be considered "not notable" any longer as it is achieving 35,000+ views daily on Google Video and is causing a massive stir all around the place. Please check the movie's page on Google Video and google the search string "Zeitgeist the Movie" for verification here. Virtually all the material used for the film is sourced on the creator's website. There have been articles in mainstream media about it - see The Globe and Mail (Toronto Newspaper). In addition, I would suggest, that, given one of the principle contentions of the movie itself - namely that the mass media is under a degree of control vastly greater than that recognised by the public - there should sensibly be some form of case made here regarding mass media recognition. Particularly bearing in mind that there have been articles written in mainstreatm media now. So I'm at a bit of a loss to understand the position that Wikipedia has created for itself. Can you enlighten me at all? I very much appreciate any time you could take to explain this to me.

The Infobox

That was an accident. I meant only to change the picture, as the first one looked better and gave a wider view of the city, and I reverted the whole edit without relising the inbox had changed sorry. The sunder king 20:03, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
