Sorry, but again, not right now. I'm still working out a combination of work, home, and personal issues. Hopefully I can get things untangled relatively soon. Sorry about that. --Nlu (talk)
I like to add my $.02 on this matter regarding China and the Han group. Simply stated, the Han people are their own people plus a mixed assortment of neighboring ethnicities assimilated into the Han group (vis-a-vis Chinese civilization) over millenniums. Gongsun Xuanyuan (a.k.a. Huangdi) was the impetus to Chinese civilization and the Xia, and the Xia spawned the ancestry not just to the Han people, but the Hun people as well. There is this Euro-centricist and "white hegemony" element/mentality (see Carleton S. Coon and his devils advocate Ashley Montagu) to the sock-puppetry in underhanded editing and weaseling of Asian/China related articles, apparently to help support an ethnic secession of the Chinese populace for political motives; while disgracing/stigmatizing the "archetype Asian" manifested in the Chinese.

You can just read the articles such as Xiongnu (Huns), Rong (pre-Xiongnu), Banpo symbols (potential/logical pre-cursor to Turkic script) and anything tangentially related, and you'll see the underhanded "Caucasification" or some degree of white washing ancient Chinese and general Asian history. There is no doubt the Cantonese are a mix of ancient Han people who've migrated to Nanyue since Qin Dynasty times, with the local Nanyue people, which also helps explain the Cantonese dialect. Nowadays, Cantonese people generally regard themselves as members of the greater Han ethnicity, and I doubt they're oppressed anywhere close to the oppression that Native American or Siberian people had suffered with loss of culture, land and religion. It's generally accepted than Han people are an assimilated mixed bunch (Rong, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Jurchen, Mongolian, etc). Now who are the "original Han people"? Those Wu speaking people of Jiangsu/Jianxi/Zhejian? The Jin speaking people of Shaanxi/Shanxi/Henan/Hebei/Inner Mongolia? Got Milked (talk) 13:35, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as the Xiongnu article is concerned, at a quick glance, I don't see a significant problem. Ethnography is not really my forte, and I am more comfortable with discussing events. --Nlu (talk) 14:55, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

mediation[edit]

I know we haven't exactly departed on good terms (but hey it's been like 2 years ago and I'm over it - and I also admit being a dick last time), but you seem the most rational on that side of the camp. So apparently, Ksyrie and co. think I'm censoring Chinese views when I clearly proposed that they can move the shit they want to the background section. I just want that retarded section out of there. It's redundant when the section above it talks about the same thing. Now they haven't responded to me at all in the talk page (this have been going on for months mind you) and I can't report them for 3rr so I'd appreciate it if you would look into this. I think you being 'one of them' and an admin will help. Thanks. Kuebie (talk) 13:31, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry if I offended you at the time. :-) And I'm sorry at the moment, but I can't do it right now -- as referenced above, I am working through some confluence of personal, family, and work issues (one of which is a jury trial that is set to start tomorrow morning if there is a judge available). I'll try to remember to look at it if/when I get this trial done... --Nlu (talk) 02:07, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Arilang1234[edit]

I'm afraid Arilang1234 might be having another go at his twisted POV pushing on the boxer rebellion article.ΔΥΝΓΑΝΕ (talk) 21:56, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He still hasn't learned, after claiming that the western sources I used in the article were "Chinese communist party propaganda", insulting manchus and claiming the boxers were "salvages".

The western sources I used were by prominent historians with PHDS from western universities, with no trace of any alleged "pro communist" activism or slant.

I repeatedly linked a quote where Dr. Sun Yatsen himself praised the Boxers, but Arilang1234 claimed that the article is from the "communist propaganda department", and written by the 50 cent party.

Sorry, but right now I have two trials on the horizon. I am in no shape to be dealing with any conflict resolution. (While these cases are pending, I basically have to be up every morning at 4:45 a.m.) --Nlu (talk) 23:55, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nlu, What happen? you do not write anything. we need to your knowledge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.133.213.244 (talk) 06:59, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the encouragement. It's just been that a lot of things recently at home and at work — including preparing for two trials — basically ate up my time and energy, and for a time made me very stressed that I was not in shape to write anything. I am now less stressed, but the time situation remains. (Both of the two trial cases are pending still, waiting for assignment to judges, so as soon as I go into trial, the stress will be back, I'm sure. :-)) I'll try to get back to editing as soon as I feel physically and mentally ready. Sorry. --Nlu (talk) 14:48, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You seem like a well informed and open minded and impartial person. There are these individuals who are trying to control what is directly accessible in the Dog meat article, by deleting my logical and relevant linking of the Horse meat article in its See Also section. I can understand their need to maintain a certain level of white pride and Asian cultural-secessionism by disassociating certain European(and their close-ally/favorite Asian) taboo meat cultures/nations to make an outright disconnect in these taboo meat articles relative to dog meat, which most likely have their largest proportion of consumers in such places as China, Korea and Vietnam: whereas in cat and horse meat consumption, the partiality toward the eastern/central Asians to that of non-Asians is far less(and complicity with Europeans far more) and thus the "Wikipedia controllers" for white pride(and pride of their closest allies and "friendlies"), work to make or delete such edits. But this really has nothing to do with proper presentation of white people's eating habits or how the eating habits of western democracy's closest ally nations should be seen. I do not object to other cultures or ethnic groups eating culture or heritage, and the inclusion of horse meat in the en.wikipedia.org Dog meat See Also section should constitute a consistent and simple American(not necessarily objective) and all English-language reader-observation of relevant facts and comparative study to the culture of eating these animals to which American and other "democratized" people should objectively examine without feeling humiliated, like how the editors and Dog meat article-controllers here are doing here by omitting direct reader-access to these relevant articles for comparative examination. Of course, as difficult as it may be for them to accept, the link to horse meat and other relevant "taboo meats" will be included in the See Also section. I'm sorry, but as I mentioned above, I am in no shape to deal with this situation right now. I would suggest trying to bring in other administrators in on the issue by referring the issue to WP:ANI. --Nlu (talk) 08:57, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Nlu. You protected the article Hardstyle and I wanted to ask you a question. This is going to sound like a loaded question, but trust me it isn't. You might know more than me, but how many times does a page have to be protected (whether indefinitely or for a limited period of time) to merit permanent protection? I did some research on page protection, but I didn't see that information anywhere here on Wikipedia. Could you please tell me? Thanks! Bravo! Alfa! Papa! 22:18, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Short answer is: we don't permanently protect articles. (The only things that get permanently protected are high-usage templates and things of that nature.) See WP:PP for more details. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 14:43, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A mistake in page Göktürks, need your help[edit]

Göktürks

Hi Nlu,

In the "Western Turkic Khaganate" part of this page, I found that Khan Ashina Helu's reign is mistaken as 634-639. But in the Chinese version 阿史那贺鲁(Ashina Helu), his rule was in the 650s. It was actually 阿史那同俄(Ashina Tonge) that ruled between 634 and 639. This mistake is also found in page Ishbara Qaghan (Ashina Helu).

In the same part there is another mistake which I suspect. In the text it puts that Chui River was the border between Dulo and Nushibi. However, Dulo was a clan of Bulgars, who at that time lived in nowaday Ukraine, which suggests that there was no possibility that Chui River was part of its border.

Those mistakes are quite difficult to cope with, so is to persuading some administraders of wiki. I'm finding difficulty mainly in searching for references. Would you please help me? Thank you.

Hi, Nlu - I've restarted the talk page you deleted - I think it's uncontroversial, but probably best if I do the right thing here, anyways - --Shirt58 (talk) 12:19, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, and thank you for explaining the deletion reason on the talk-page itself. --Shirt58 (talk) 12:19, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Buddhist legends about Emperor Wu of Liang has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SudoGhost 22:48, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Buddhist legends about Emperor Wu of Liang is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Chancellors[edit]

Of the hundreds and hundreds of Chancellor articles you have created, has any Chancellor died of natural causes without being exiled? Each time you write a new one, I can't wait to find out how the next Chancellor died. Great articles, I always find them interesting reads. FYI... On the DEFAULTSORT value, it is Sun, Wo... with the comma. The comma actually does make a difference. I've been correcting them. Bgwhite (talk) 06:59, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the interest. :-) Most Tang chancellors had good, natural deaths, but we're getting to the end of the dynasty, where not many people, chancellor or not, had good ends... --Nlu (talk) 07:21, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ding Hui Article[edit]

Nlu,

Article: Ding Hui.

Would you be able to do an "infobox" for the above article? It would be appreciated. Adamdaley (talk) 08:56, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've never been particularly good at picking the right infobox templates for articles I write. Do you have some suggestions? --Nlu (talk) 09:38, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The "Infobox person" or if he was associated with military could be a "Military" infobox for a person. Adamdaley (talk) 10:13, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks for the suggestion... I'll look into it. --Nlu (talk) 10:14, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

他自己的意识在六月二十六日二零一零年说:"resemblence of some symbols to Banpo, Runic, Etruscan etc. is just coincidence and unsourced". Most pottery shows only one, sometimes two of the above marks (because) image makes it look like an alphabet". Got Milked (talk) 14:53, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your frustration, but this topic is actually completely outside my realm of expertise, and I am not in a good position to judge this issue, I think. --Nlu (talk) 04:49, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to let you know that some editors are discussing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vandal Kingdom whether the article Vandal Kingdom should be in Wikipedia. I encourage you to comment there if you think the article should be kept in the encyclopedia.

The deletion discussion doesn't mean you did something wrong. In fact, other editors may have useful suggestions on how you can continue editing and improving Vandal Kingdom, which I encourage you to do. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the Help Desk.

Category:Chinese footballers[edit]

Dear User:Nlu I'm extremely puzzled by your recent edits where you are deleting this category page from numerous player articles. I don't know why you've done this and I don't understand why you believe this page is unnecessary. In every Featured article, which had a players page represented a simular category page was in their category section so there is nothing wrong with this page.

P.S. please could you add this page back to the ones you've deleted As Soon As Possible.

Yours Sincerely User talk:Kai Lau 16 Sept 2012

Dear User:Nlu I have decided to restore this page to all the ones you've deleted and I would be grateful if you don't undo this.
Yours Sincerely User talk:Kai Lau 18 Sept 2012

Dear User:Nlu I have just read your message where you have suggested that this Category page is too big and where you informed me within the Wikipedia:Categorization that this page needs diffusing. however I would like to remind you that this page is considerably smaller then other similar pages as shown in Category:Association football players by nationality and only very large category pages need diffusing. In fact your obsession in subdividing every player in the region where they're from is rarely used and is too esoteric for the general user to navigate through. In the cases where the subcategory of a players hometown is included the main category page is still kept intact with the players names.

P.S. if you still believe that the page is too big please feel free to add a table of contents page, however as I've reiterated before I will be restoring this page to all the ones you've deleted and I would be grateful if you don't undo this.

Yours Sincerely User talk:Kai Lau 25 Sept 2012
