June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Littleb2009. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mariam Kamara, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. --littleb2009 (she/her) (talkcontribs) 19:08, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, NeoMaditla. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Mariam Kamara, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:05, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WP:PAID requirements – strictly speaking – not entirely met[edit]

Hi NeoMaditla, thanks for the disclosure, but please have a look at WP:PAID again: Disclosing one's affiliation in edit summaries is fine, but then needs to happen in all of the edit summaries. Alternatively, you may like to disclose the required information on your user page instead, by clicking the red link in this sentence, turning it blue. For further advice, see WP:FAQ/Article subjects amd feel free to ask for assistance at the Teahouse at any time. Thanks and best regards ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:06, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
