If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bhasha Bicharok Jar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Pinakpani (talk) 07:48, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Msabyasachi. First of all: is there corresponding Bengali language Wikipedia article for the author of this book?
I agree that the specific details of the tag - "an article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject" are technically incorrect.
This, however, is not the substantive issue here.
Say I create an article about the album "Maroon and Blue Numbers" by the band "Shirt and the 58s" when there is no pre-existing article about that band. This would fall under the WP:A9 speedy deletion criteria. However, WP:A9 refers back to the broader speedy deletion criteria in WP:A7: "No indication of importance (people, animals, organizations, web content, events)"
So: by analogy with WP:A9, I see no indication that this book of poems by this author meets any number of criteria for inclusion on the English language Wikipedia, unless and until there is an article about the author of the book meets any number of criteria for inclusion on the English language Wikipedia.
Please do let me know if I can assist you with this, or anything else related to the English language Wikipedia.

Thanks for the website. do you want me to create an article about the author? though I was not interested on it. But I know a several bengali books which are not as famous as The Gitanjali (Songs offering) but hold a good importance. so for them we need articles on the author as well? BTW its a stud, I was expecting some editors to help me with this.
The intention was to make people aware of Bengali Literature. Msabyasachi (talk) 10:17, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This book is not presumed notable as per WP:BKCRIT, @Msabyasachi can you put some reliable references on it, which at least meet the criteria of being or considered notable? Pinakpani (talk) 11:17, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you so much for deleting the tag. also you can help us building a good database on Bengali Literature here as well, currently its a minor category here in wikipedia, not many people are aware of it. I belong to Literature and Theatre and I am a scholar of Natyashastra. So I can help you on these topic. But a stud is open for everyone to contribute. I am the primary contributor and can expect secondary contributors to edit further and improve this article. and also if we dont keep this amount of flexibility here, then no Books other than english language will be available in this encyclopedia. We need to allow other editors to find this article and develop this. Speedy Deletion with an assumption will not help. I believe in sanity but subjective censorship is not going to help.
also will try to create an article on the author if I find it note worthy and if enough citations are there, so that you don't feel this an orphan. Msabyasachi (talk) 12:43, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Msabyasachi Pls try to create the articles which in notable one as per the gridline and do not remove the tag WP:PRODNOM.Pinakpani (talk) 05:29, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pinakpani, so where's what I can suggest, we can keep the article as a stub! or we can merge the contents of this article with the article Rik Amrit, after getting a suggestion from editor shirt58. See, just to save one article I had to create two more spending a lot of time surfing the internet. and I found that the article deserves a space. I try to follow all the guidelines and based on that and the citations and references I found on Rik Amrit I found that article is a stronger one. Thanks Msabyasachi (talk) 06:02, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
