Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Mother priscilla baltimore[edit]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Mother priscilla baltimore requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.

Mr kindheart, you really need to include a citation for that content. Ganbaruby's advice is good. Re-adding similar content without fixing the issue raised can cause problems like edit warring. Your edits to Youtab and a large number of other articles have similar problems. It looks as if you are adding vivid bits of unsourced narrative history to the articles of many mythological and historical figures. May I ask if you know User:Lord julyan of Srp?

In some cases you are inserting this narrative between existing cited text and its citation, thus making it look as though your text is cited. But when you check the citation, the information is not in it. This is really problematic. Please don't do this. Please go back through Special:Contributions/Mr kindheart your edits and put the citations back where they were, at the end of the text they verify. If you must add uncited content, add {{citation needed}} to the end of your uncited content, making sure that your uncited content is in a separate paragraph, so it's clear exactly what content is uncited.

On the whole, though, I'd suggest that you start by finding sources. The sources can be copyright or not; it doesn't matter. What matters is that you do not copy the sources here word-for-word. That is plagarism, and it is not allowed. You can use your own words to describe the facts that you learned from the sources. Then, at the end of your own original words, add a link to your source, or other citation information, so we know where you got the information from. If you are not sure how to cite things, your local librarian can teach you. Add the information-written-in-your-own-words and the citation at the same time.

You don't need to manually add ages at death. We add ages with the Wikipedia:Age calculation templates, which do that automatically.

Priscilla Baltimore[edit]

Hey mr kindheart, unfortunately I've had to tag your sandbox Priscilla Baltimore draft for speedy deletion because it was entirely a copyright violation, which isn't allowed. However, you will be pleased to know that HLHJ has created a new article for her, Priscilla Baltimore.

You may have noticed that HLHJ has undone much of your content additions because they lacked a source. This may be frustrating, but the English Wikipedia has a strict policy of verifiability.

I am currently going through your additions of ages at death of various people. In the future, please make sure you ONLY add the age of death when there is a precise date of death and a precise date of birth, make sure the age you give is not one too high (as was often the case in the ages that you added), and please only insert the age after the death date in the infobox (between parentheses, like currently in this article). ~~If there is no infobox yet, you can create it.~~

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) Sphilbrick, Opalzukor: This user is already under quite a lot of scrutiny. I regularly go through his contributions to check for verifiability problems. All of his content contributions before this last week have been undone because they were unsourced; I'm going through last week's edits now, and it seems I've finally gotten through to him that he needs to cite his sources, though he still needs to learn how, and what sources are appropriate.

Opalzukor, I am quite certain those were all for copyright violations. If you want, you can search the deletion log to be sure - the deletion log for the page "Apranik" confirms that at least 3 of the 5 were indeed for copyright reasons. But as I tried to explain above, I don't see much of a point in a CCI case (which involves going through all of the user's contributions to check for copyright violations), as exactly none of this user's content survives to the current version of any article. instead of constantly removit it then please help me or edit the sources yourself because its getting annoying understable i might add but still

Hey mr Kindheart, in the case of the Ixtab article you gave a source that was not reliable. In that case, other editors will remove it - they cannot find your sources for you, you have to learn to provide proper sources yourself, or when you cannot provide good sources, just not make the edit. When it is only that you put the source in the wrong place, people will just correct this, so when it gets removed that is only when the source isn't good enough. I found the original source for the text you copy-pasted into Mkabayi kaJama; it's an academic article which I have cited and used to rewrite the lede. An interesting topic, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
