Dates of baseball player stats[edit]

On baseball player pages, the field in the infobox for the date of the stats should be the date that the player last played a game, not necessarily today's date. Please keep this in mind. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 18:55, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics in season pages[edit]

Whatever floats your boat. I just don't see the point of having sections that need to be thoroughly updated every day with dozens of changes. I certainly don't have time to enter in all this information. Anyways, the stats are easily referenced on mlb.com, while the point of the team's season page would seem to be simply for an easy place to research the schedule and records. I would be interested to see a discussion is started in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Baseball/MLB_team_season_articles_format. Jdavi333 (talk) 02:46, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you are saying but the same thing could be said about the entire page. Why have the schedule and records on the team page? They are easily referenced at MLB.com. They do not have to be updated every day but if someone is willing to do it then great. Many of the other MLB pages are not even up to date with the teams schedule. I feel that stats are important and in baseball they are the most noticeable and therefore should be included on the page. Thanks for discussing this with me. 13:57, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

August 2015[edit]

Information icon Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Kyle Hendricks does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 04:06, 15 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
