This was put up for speedy deletion. I untagged it, but are you going to add some info that indicates why this person is notable? Was his death notorious or something. Herostratus 15:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gosh, give me a second. I had to change my kid's diaper. I'm in the middle of writing it.

J.

You said: "Can I ask why you took down the link to Jinxy? After all, the cat in the movie was portrayed by the same cat who played Jinxy in Meet The Parents. This wasn't me trying to be cute about my namesake. It's actual information. Seems kind of petty to take it down, especially since it was simply a "See Also". I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm trying to figure out where you're coming from. Thanks."

If that is the case, my apologies. On one of the pages, I saw that you had a link to your own user page so I did indeed think this was you "trying to be cute". I appreciate that you pointed out my error and did so in a civil manner. Please feel free to readd the removed information if it is valid. --Yamla 15:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Yamla. I appreciate it.

Information Request[edit]

Dear Cyberjunkie,

I don't require your assistance. If I do have any questions, I'll ask Yamla. This conversation is over. Further replies will be removed without response. Regards.

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked to prevent you creating any more articles by copying content from other sites. Your actions are completely unacceptable. Any text you contribute to the Wikipedia must be your original work; copying someone else's work and claiming it as your own is illegal and is not permitted here. --Yamla 15:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To anyone else reading this section, Mister Jinxy went out of his way after being blocked to contact the owners of the copyrighted material and get permission for Wikipedia to use the content. He was also very polite in his dealings with me. He truly went above and beyond to get this matter resolved and to demonstrate that he clearly understands the requirements. I am taking this time to thank this user for the effort he put in to resolve the problem. Generally dealing with copyvios is a thankless task because it can be hard to explain the requirements to users but this was not the case with Jinxy. If only all users could be as responsive. --Yamla 23:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Muchas gracias para su mensaje. Mister Jinxy 00:02, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like at least Wes Freed has now been confirmed, see Talk:Wes Freed. Once again, thanks. Happy editing! --Yamla 23:56, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nom on Steve Crowley[edit]

Hello,

Thanks for creating article on Steve Crowley. Just for your information, I have nominated a DYK on this article, by having the following hook.

Updated DYK query On 16 March, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Steve Crowley, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Cyberjunkie[edit]

A situation like this may be best handled by a more formal process. I would suggest WP:ANI. Mr.Z-mantalk¢Review! 21:51, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to mediate, please see my statement and reply. Thanks! —— Eagle101 Need help? 21:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replied. Thanks.

Mister Jinxy 01:14, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have asked a second question, if you don't want to continue, let me know. —— Eagle101 Need help? 04:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I want to continue until this gets resolved. Has Cyberjunkie indicated a willingness to play ball? From his last comment it appears as if he thinks he's above such petty matters.

AfD nomination of Frank Jasper[edit]

An editor has nominated Frank Jasper, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frank Jasper and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Jayden54Bot 18:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm perfectly within my rights to do what I did: "An arbitrator clarified the position: "Briefly, I think a reasonable amount of communication about issues is fine. Aggressive propaganda campaigns are not. The difference lies in the disruption involved. If what is happening is getting everyone upset then it is a problem. Often the dividing line is crossed when you are contacting a number of people who do not ordinarily edit the disputed article.

The people I contacted had all been involved, one way or the other, in either the film or the stars. Go bother somebody else, please, and try to stay off my talk page.

Mister Jinxy 14:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you may not like to hear this, but you basically ruined any chance of the article being kept. Canvassing only shoots you in the foot. coelacan — 18:07, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They weren't going to keep it anyways. Now stay off of my talk page.

Mister Jinxy 21:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I request that you exhibit some civility. Anyone can edit your talk page; you don't own it. You can remove my comments from this page if you like, but you can't tell other editors where they can and cannot leave messages. coelacan — 23:48, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that you are "free" to come on my talk page and leave a message. However, I "request" that you don't contact me any more and stay off of my talk page. From my experience here at Wikipedia, I've found that this is the easiest way for me to avoid unpleasantness with people with whom I would prefer not to talk to. If you misunderstood what I meant then I hope this clarifies it for you.

AfD Darrin Powers[edit]

I don't see anything wrong with that nom, apart the category. Incidentally, for porn actors WP:PORNBIO applies. Tizio 14:27, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Awsome. Thanks.

Mister Jinxy 19:56, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is my talk page. Though I do not "own" it, I can delete things when I want to. I have read your statement and do not necessarily agree with them. However, I do not feel the need to have a discussion about it and do not care to have your comments on my talk page. How is this vandalism? I am not required to leave it up there just because you want me to. Possibly this was an automatically generated response by you, but regardless, the information comes down. If you are waiting to receive a response from me to indicate that I read your comments, consider this it.

Kind regards,

Mister Jinxy 02:48, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening (GMT time); you recently nominated the above article for deletion at Articles for Deletion. Further to the standard period of time of discussion, I have closed the Deletion Discussion on the article as Delete.

Kind regards,

Darrin Powers[edit]

Generally, AfD discussions gather some people, but this is not the rule: sometimes, nobody other than the nominator partecipates. Such discussions are often relisted (given other 5 days for discussion). However, if nobody objects to the deletion, the article is deleted. So, there is really no problem so far. Tizio 12:35, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

Mister Jinxy 15:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst I appreciate the circumstances, there is a risk that the image will be deleted if you don't provide details of its source or licence, so I think it is very much in your interests to do so. Adambro 21:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Walther P22 dispute[edit]

An article which you have edited, Talk:Walther P22#Request for Comment: Walther P22 – is involved in a dispute requiring inputs from editors to develop a consensus for editors to follow on whether or not mention of the Virginia Tech Massacre should be mentioned in the firearm article, or if mention in the VT Massacre article of the firearms used, with a link back to the Walther P22 article, is adequate. Thank you. Yaf 22:21, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Walther P22 disputes continues[edit]

Hello. The discussion of whether to include a mention of the Virginia Tech massacre at the Walther P22 article continues. Earlier, a compromise was reached to include a mention of the Viriginia Tech massacre in a "See Also" section of this article, but now that idea is being debated. Care to weigh in? The Walther P22 is being discussed here. Griot 16:24, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For Otto[edit]

Revenge....? What are you talking about? That wasn't the FIRST article you ever wrote or anything, was it? Sorry 'bout that if it was...

Regarding Frank Jasper, I "respectfully" disagree with you. The information is valid whether you like it or not. The discussion on the AFD was whether or not there should be an entire article devoted to him - not whether or not the information would not be better elsewhere.

In the meantime, I would prefer that you do not come on my talk page anymore and also do no use foul language towards me, such as calling me a "dick". I would hate to have to report your actions to the moderators. Good day. Mister Jinxy 10:42, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - the article was deleted through AFD because there were no reliable sources for the information. Information that is not properly sourced does not belong in any Wikipedia article and such information may be removed at any time by any editor. I renew my suggestion that you preserve the information on your user page and strongly urge you not to disrupt Wikipedia by continuing to add unsourced information to articles. Otto4711 15:36, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you stay off of my page as I requested. As for your arguments, go look back on the AFD discussion. Though you would have liked that the reason for the removal was because of what you alleged to have been improperly sourced information:

  • 1. I provided reliable sources. You just didn't like them.
  • 2. The reason that people voted that the article should be deleted was because they did not find Frank Jasper to be a person of sufficient interest to the Wikipedia community NOT because it was improperly sourced.

The Vision Quest article is the perfect place for that information, and I can play the game just as long as you can. You dig? Now please don't contact me again. It will only lead to woe for both of us. Good day. Mister Jinxy 21:16, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:BuuDong.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BuuDong.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:48, 22 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 13:48, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I realize you are no longer editing Wikipedia, but I hope to get in touch with you regarding what you wrote on Antonioni's film The Passenger in April 2006, particularly the evidence that Maria Schneider's character is Robertson's wife Daisy. I feel lucky to have stumbled on your interpretation, which has been buried here for years. I would like to cite your insights or trace them to their source, both for a class I am teaching and for eventual publication.

If you will permit me to contact you, please send me a brief reply at your convenience, and I will let you know how to reach me. Umbugbene (talk) 21:06, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
