My RfA

Hi, Miranda, and thanks for your participation in my RfA. I've withdrawn it, and will be writing up an "analysis" of it, which will soon be available at User:Giggy/RfA/Giggy when it's done. Please come around when you get the chance, and give me feedback on how I can improve. Thanks again, Giggy UCP 04:45, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Sand Box

{{helpme}}

Is a user able to create more than one sandbox? Or are users allowed only one sandbox? If a user can create a second (or third or fourth) sandox, how does one do that? If a user is not allowed to create multiple sandboxes, how does one work on (and save) projects when one is working on multiple projects at the same time? Thanks. (JosephASpadaro 18:06, 8 July 2007 (UTC))

Yes under this, multiple sandboxes/subpages are allowed. For example, please see my sandbox shown here: User:Miranda/sandbox. Cheers. Miranda 18:14, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for your help on this sand-box issue. I appreciate your input and directing me to the correct links. I am glad to see that users can have multiple sandboxes to work on multiple projects at a time. I had assumed we only "get" one sandbox ... so this is good news to me. Thanks again. (JosephASpadaro 19:02, 12 July 2007 (UTC))
Sorry about getting a bad start with you at first. I am the same user as Real96. I was assuming bad faith previously with an incident several months ago with you. For that, I apologize and hope you enjoy your experience on Wikipedia. Miranda 03:11, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry that it has taken me so long to reply. I have been backed up with work lately. Thanks for the apology, that's very kind of you. I would extend an apology to you, as well. Sometimes, it is difficult to communicate through typed words, when our human experiences have largely been through live, face-to-face communications. It takes quite an adjustment and assuming good faith is a big part of that. I have been enjoying my experiences here on Wikipedia. Thanks again for the helpful info on multiple sand boxes. Happy editing! (JosephASpadaro 19:49, 28 July 2007 (UTC))
Yes, I agree. Miranda 22:03, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks again. Thanks to you, I was able to figure out how to create the multiple sand boxes. I now have 10 and am able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. It's a big help. Many thanks. (JosephASpadaro 02:51, 3 August 2007 (UTC))

Don't worry! :)

Heyyy, sweetie - don't be silly, girl, just be yourself :) And I so understand you, I'm pretty exhausted myself :( And please, feel free to take that, or anything you fancy from my pages (not like you need it, you're so extremely talented!) Btw, I got your mail - and I have new info for you. I'll reply tomorrow, promised. Sleep well! :) Love, Phaedriel - 03:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

A question concerning some latin music and a WikiProject

Hey Miranda, I was wondering if you could possibly create an ad for Wikipedia:WikiProject Reggaeton, I asked Gurch a few weeks back but he didn't seem sure. I'm not a member of the project per se but the project is young and it needs some projection to get more members, considering the popularity of the music genre I think they could develop it into a more active project if given the right exposition. Thanks for your time. - 03:30, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but I am busy at the moment. Miranda 01:57, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Question

What should I do for re-create or deletion of the any image of any reality? Eg;100px Other countries areas are not real. Thanks. User_talk:Zaparojdik

WP:IFD. Miranda 14:35, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of 'Niner Bikes'

I was trying to find something out about that company on the net, and noticed there was absolutely nothing about it. So I created the article, while researching to company so that I could put something useful in there for others to see.. I put about a one sentence description of it, and listed it as a stub. I had an edit open when you listed it for deletion. I was trying to find out what the proper link to 29'er was, so even the first sentence would be correct. I don't think it was appropriate to list it for deleting as spam. Yes, I realize that the first sentence sounded like blatant advertising, as a one sentence description of any company will. Maybe you could have waited 10-15 min. while I worked on it to maybe get it presentable.

Thanks, Dictouray 17:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Create the article first in your sandbox. When the article is ready for mainspace, copy the article from your sandbox and paste it to mainspace. Miranda 17:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

EddieBot

Hello, Miranda. Regarding this edit, shouldn't bots have their own talk page? Please note that this is very important for an AWB bot, as leaving a message will stop the bot in case of an emergency. --Boricuaeddie 23:14, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I was going to leave a message on your talk page concerning that. It depends. For example, User:Selketbot has the talk page of the bot directed to User talk:Selket. Depends, IMHO. Just thought it would be easier. Miranda 23:17, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, policy states that bots should have their own talk page in order to be stopped by leaving a message instead of having to wait for an administrator to block it. Thanks anyway for your concern! Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 23:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I see that RfCU confirmed these three above are all the same person. Benkovac (talk · contribs) and Fkzeljo (talk · contribs) are blocked but what about Semberac (talk · contribs)? I don't see no consequences for him despite him making two sockpuppets and disrupting wikipedia on mass scale, including voting three times and trying to fraud the vote process here where now it is known he voted three ti Alsowhat about about user LAz17 (talk · contribs), although the RfCU did not confirm he has sockuppets or is a sockpuppet he also voted twice there and again he suffered no consequences. As you can see from this change here he already voted and then he again voted here, the fact they are the same user was confirmed here. --No.13 19:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Edit War

Please don't change until the other personm I am working with can review it, PLEASE.(Scipio3000 23:57, 9 August 2007 (UTC))

I am trying to leave up that section so me and the otehr people working on it can compare notes. I left a similiar article, "History of Sicily" unchanged, but I changed "Sicily" so the other people working on it can compare notes and decide how it should look. El_C is harrassing me, please I have asked him several times to quit. He is relentless, please check my page and see for yourself. How can we work on this when El_C who has no knowledge on the article, keeps changing what I am doing. If the consensus of the people who do have knowledge working on it, doesn't like it, then we will change it. El_C has a serious problem with me, he has no knowledge of the material he is only changing it becasue he doesn't like me...how can I report him, I have asked him several times to leave me alone and he refuses, please help!!(Scipio3000 23:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC))

Yes, but if you revert the page 4 times in a day, you will be blocked for twenty-four hours per WP:3RR. However, you kind of already broken the WP:3rr, but I have assumed good faith and not reverted you. Discuss all options on the talk page, rather than being in a revert war. Thanks. Miranda 23:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Note that I've asked, mutliple times, who "the other person [s/he] is working with" is, but Scipio has yet to provide a name. El_C 00:04, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Hmm...okay. My suggestion would be to protect the page for 3 to 4 day, and Scipio 24 hr. blocked for 3RR. I will report now on AIV. Miranda 00:06, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
There's already a thread on ANI; AIV is for much simpler cases. I have already blocked the user twice in the last few days, incidentally. I advise against a block, for now, however. El_C 00:09, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

But it is too difficult for the other person to look at. I can't believe I am being treated so poorly. This article means so much to me, I am dedicating it to my nunny who passed away a week and a half ago. I am working with this article with someone else. Please, I beg you don't change until the person who I am working on this with can review notes. I left "History of Sicily" unchanged, but changed this one, so we can compare notes. So that way we can just bounce back and forth between the two. I am being condemned for what I did in the past, my loss blinded me with passion, but now I am back to business. I don't think it is at all fair, no one is giving me a chance or the benefit of the doubt. And the same thing El_C has accused me of, he has done to me. I am sorry if I offended you, I truly am, but that was in the past and I apologize. This really, really means alot to me and when it is done, it will be done right, please give me a chance to work on this before you delete it, I am trying really hard, and I do apologize again, thank you.(Scipio3000 00:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC))

Hello

Miranda, I have spoken with Riana on MSN and she messaged you on IRC so please, just read this. I'm truly sorry for what I have done, I know you've heard it all before but it was not until yesterday that the true reality hit me of what I had done and the incvil person I had become, I am not asking you to appeal my ban for me as I dont want you to (you probs wouldn't anyway :-) - I dont think anyone would) but I am just asking for forgiveness, I will not be creating new sockpuppets as I have done wrong, so I will take my punishment like a man. I may appeal my ban in the far future and then depending on the circumsances I may create a new account but only if my account is unbanned, I am attempting to make peace here so I truly hope you will accept it, and we can be friends-ish again. I would also like to tell you I haven't created any attack accounts (see the history of Moreschi's user page), that was a user who obviosusly has a grudge against me, if you come across any account I want you to run a checkuser on them against Qst to prove its not me as hopefully over time, people will forgive me but until that time comes; I shall not be editing. I would appreciate a reply on whether or not you forgive me. Thank you. 84.70.118.203 14:16, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

First, I thought about MFDing this page, previous to my "nomination" a long time ago. So, those, especially Kwsn who are thinking that's "in bad faith", please get over yourselves, and assume good faith. Second, for respectful purposes, do not place my name in participation with an activity/nonsense/etc. which doesn't relate to improving the encyclopedia, because some, like myself, can consider "the activity" to be disruptive, rather than "fun". Do not take this message too seriously, but as a point to improve upon. Thank you. Miranda 00:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I quite like those little ads and believe its a helpful little project that you have really helped maintain. I wanted to ask you if you, Gurch, and Andrew wouldn't mind me joining your design team? Hello Miranda: I saw your helpful edits in the Aaron Sorkin article and I was wondering if you would mind giving my article on Bruno Maddox a copyedit/review? It is at WP:FAC atm. and is taking its time to polish up. If you could help out in any way I would appreciate it very much. Best, BillDeanCarter 05:46, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

No. IMHO, too short to be a FA and lacks a free use image for the title image. That's the only review I can give to you so far. Miranda 13:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
It weighs in at 29K which isn't that short. It meets all the featured article criteria esp. comprehensiveness which is an article that "does not neglect major facts and details." The Aaron Sorkin article reached FA without a single free use image but they popped up afterwards. The Josh Schwartz article also didn't have a free use image, and sported an illegal fair use image for a while, until recently when 2 good ones popped up. So free use images do make their appearance, and it would be a shame to withhold the FA stamp from an article that did in fact meet all the criteria just because it wasn't pretty enough. Then again I am writing this to you as a practice defense to be used at FAC if it comes up, because I believe a lot of people feel that way about FACs. Supposed unwritten rules I guess. Anyways, if you have any comments about the writing in the article I would appreciate hearing them. Take care, BillDeanCarter 14:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

My editor review

Thanks for your comments, for which I have replied, but I don't really get it. Fixing my checkuser request.

I see you fixed my checkuser request here. Thanks for that. Now does that mean that this request will actually be acted upon? +ILike2BeAnonymous 06:21, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes, it should be accepted or declined. Miranda 06:50, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Redirect to here...

Why did you redirect your userpage to here? Your userpage is awesome! --  PNiddy  Go!  00:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Because I want to? Also, please don't use my userpage template without notifying me first. Hence CC-BY-SA. Miranda 00:18, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi

First, great job with the ads. The last ad that I uploaded is not working properly. It's #85. Second, can you please fully protect this page, because I don't want people making any more requests on it. Third, here's a barnstar for your fab. work. Miranda 01:10, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

{{Barnstar - Graphic}}

All taken care of Miranda! I fully protected the page per your request. Hows #85 not working right? I see the image fine and you added it to the template correctly.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 01:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
