Speedy deletion nomination of Allegiance Gold[edit]

Hello Allegiancegold,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Allegiance Gold for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Allegiance Gold, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — fortunavelut luna 21:15, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fortuna, i am not sure why it keeps on being flagged for deletion. It is the same layout as other pages. No advertising or promotions has been used in this page. It is simply facts and events . Please advise. I read the guide and not sure what is it that not falling under Wikipedia's rules. Can you at least point for the reasons of the speedy deletion? thank you— Preceding unsigned comment added by Markadams1 (talkcontribs)

It was not "simply facts," it was cherry-picked claims meant to present Allegiance Gold's best side to customers. The section "The Pledge," with drivel like Allegiance Gold pledges its commitment to genuinely serve its customers with the utmost focus on protecting their retirement and preserving long term wealth was obviously advertising to anyone anyone the least bit familiar with capitalism.
Here's how to write articles:
  • Gather a variety of professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources that are specifically but unaffiliated with and independent of it, placing citations of those sources after the summaries. Directory listings, like the Bloomberg entry, are not sufficient because they list everyone.
  • Summarize those sources in a word processor off-site. I use Microsoft Notepad because it removes formatting.
  • Paraphrase those summaries into a single piece, combining overlapping material and repeating citations as necessary. Make sure that it's written such that someone who hates the subject can't argue with what you've written.
  • Use that as your first draft at WP:AFC.

Ian, I will. But i did follow exactly what the example page from WIKi had. i used the same format , the same written style. In regards of the PLedge section it was meant as the mission of the organization but i see your point and could have been deleted. Instead of deleting the whole article. At least the basic information could have been left there, and those in question to be deleted. Let me read the guides one more time to see if i can get it right this time. Thank YOu — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.11.87.201 (talk) 23:45, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The format has nothing to do with it. And as I said, the pledge section was obviously advertising.
Given that your account was obviously created to promote Allegiance Gold, I'm just gonna recommend that you stop trying to write about them, unless you follow the instructions I gave above (no affiliated or dependent sources in the first draft, go through WP:AFC, write in such a way that someone who hates the company can still agree with you). If you stray from that (citing affiliated sources, skipping AFC, or presenting praise as "facts"), your account can be blocked.
Oh, I spotted Markeian. Given that both of accounts' names start with "Mark" and tried to make an article on Allegiance Gold, it's obviously your second account. If I see any more accounts posting advertising for Allegiance Gold, I'm going to block the whole lot myself. Ian.thomson (talk) 23:57, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ian, the username was allegiancegold, i received a message saying that you can't use the username similar to the page, so i created markeian, but than i received a message if i want to request a change of username , so i did and i chose the second mark. So jumping into conclusion won't help. Anyway, not interested in your page anymore, but when wiki is created for informative purposes, writing about a company's name, history, founders, mission is information only and not promotion. Anyhow, thank you anyway. Enjoy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.11.87.201 (talk) 00:20, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
