Hello :)[edit]

How is life and Wikipedia, I must say life is going good for me...however after contemplation I am beginning to think about retirement from Wikipedia... ~ Arjun 02:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being such a good friend though, I am not going to go away "completely", I just wont "actively" edit. As you can "see" quotations are becoming the "coolest" thing ;). Is it just me or is Wikipedia becoming...different. I don't know if it is a good different or bad, things are less simple and just a little...odd. Wikipedia is becoming larger obviously and so is vandalism, spam and other bad stuff. Also I am becoming hugely busy in the "real world" and sadly Wikipedia doesn't come into my thoughts as much as it used to. In fact in the past week I forgot about it. Oh well, lets just see what happens :) Cheers! ~ Arjun 02:49, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yay for !!!, and semi-goodbye is a little odd. By the way what ever happened to Randfan and King Toadsworth? Do you have any idea. Also I have decided to just take a long Wikibreak. Cheers ~ Arjun 02:56, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

False, unfair, discriminative accusations[edit]

User:AKMask has continued to suggest we are meatpuppets even though it has been proven beyond reasonable doubt and has even tried to make sure that we can never express our opinions on the same matter again by suggesting a community ban on the WP:CN. Please do something before he unfairly gets his way and us unfairly banned from any type of discussion. Henchman 2000 18:10, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I was wondering how you knew me (I welcomed you). Anyway, to create an article, you can simply search it in the "search" box, then click the link at the top that says "You searched for [wahtever search] [Index]". Please read WP:FIRST for guidelines on writing articles. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 23:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hi Malcolm. You deleted the page about my organization (the American Council of Young Political Leaders), which I didn't post but was glad to have on Wikipedia. I think the basis was copyright violation, but in all honesty, we don't have a copyright on any material... Anyway, would love to see it restored... Thanks, Bronwyn

No assertion of permission had been made, so I deleted it as a copyvio. If you recreate it, please make sure it satifies Wikipedia:Notability and is not directly copied from the website. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 15:12, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are you able to restore it so that I can work on it without having to recreate it all? There were materials that weren't on our website that someone put together (including links to other Wikipedia articles. —Bronwyn —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bronwynbedient (talkcontribs) 20:13, 6 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
I'll e-mail what its contents were to you, and you can modify it, using WP:FIRST as a guideline. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 20:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1066 DC[edit]

Malcolm, please may I remind you that Wikipedia is an ENCYCLOPEDIA. In this respect, please may I ask you reasons for defending 1066 DC from deletion. Yes, I accept that this is an interesting video/DVD (Believe it or not, I actually have it in my collection.), but I simply cannot accept it as being an important for what is supposed to be an ENCYCLOPEDIA. thanks for reverting vandalism[edit]

Hello Malcolm, thanks for reverting vandalism to my userpage and my talk page. I have no idea what brought that on, because I rarely do any RC patrol, and I don't recall ever interacting with that user. Thanks again! --Kyoko 23:53, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Malcolm = Llama Man? I didn't make the connection. Umm... am I on your watchlist or something, or did the vandalism just stand out because of the edit size? Congratulations on your RfA, and thanks again! --Kyoko 00:21, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, your userpage is on my watchlist, along with the other ~20 userpages that I can't remember how the heck they got on my watchlist. :) — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 00:37, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Hi, I've had contact from the llama people. I would say they've got the hump, but you know as well as I do that they don't like being compared to their Artiodactylan cousins. Anyhow, they want to know if why you're turning your back on them? They said they don't even know what they did wrong. You know, I'm just in the middle on this one, so if you could let me know... :) Bubba hotep 21:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well. it's a long story... *20 years later*...and that's why I don't like llamas anymore. Seriously, though (if you could call this "serious"), the llamas and I had a long talk about this and there is consensus that I shouldn't like llamas anymore. The "llamas" you were talking to were probably alpacas in disguise. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 21:15, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Darn, I'm always getting suckered by them alpacas. Always trying to cause trouble. Cheers. :) Bubba hotep 21:23, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Barnstar[edit]

Unprotecting birth control page[edit]

I believe that Joie de Vivre and I have reached a compromise position regarding our dispute on the birth control page: to delete the last paragraph in the protected version of the "fertility awareness methods" section ("Two common systems.... religious content in their FA classes.") If I am interpreting this correctly, the page may be unprotected without fear of edit warring. I have left a note on JdV's talk page asking for confirmation. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Nintendo Power V209.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nintendo Power V209.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Funpika 15:35, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:11DPURBANJUGLECOVER.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:11DPURBANJUGLECOVER.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:15, 20 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat 04:15, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas protection[edit]

Just a question, but how much is "enough"? Wrad 23:59, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For me, four or five acts of vandalism per day in the past 2-3 days, or more than that in the last day. There are exceptions, though, such as vandalism not being reverted for a long period of time (1 hour+). Other admins have different views, though. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 00:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Man, this is a stressful situation, for all of us. I understand your stress, and hope that you will forget (or at least not care so much) about this incident someday. I'm assuming that you're not sockpuppets, since that's quite likely (that you aren't sockpuppets, not are). Please keep contributing to Wikipedia, you're contribs are valued. Like I said before, I think we should all try to forget about this mess (besides the ban, of course). I'll leave a message on Mask's talk page. — MalcolmUse the schwartz! 19:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You'll notice that I made no comments as to the validity of your claim, just that I had updated the page. I'll continue gathering evidence as I see it, not ignore the situation. -Mask? 19:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. You are trying to hide warnings. You've deleted several of them from the past as well. This is deceptive, sneaky, and dishonest and you know it. Most of these warnings weren't even for serious things. The fact that you seem so bent on removing them isn't helping your case. You could easily keep them there as proof that you've become a better, more productive editor over time.
