Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mario Party 8 Mii.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mario Party 8 Mii.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You removed some stuff from my talk page.

Yes, its not a fourm, but it is MY talk page, and I believe I have a right to ask people what they think about Brawl. --Kenny2k 03:21, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Please see WP:NOT. Extended conversations or topics about anything not related to Wikipedia are not allowed here. I suggest you remove them again. — Malcolm talk 18:45, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

It's just a talk page. All I'm trying to do is offer people an alternative to spaming the Super Smash Bros. Brawl talk page. If it really is that much of a problem, I'll take it down again. Sorry for not replying, I didn't know you responded. --Kenny2k 19:48, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, its driving me crazy with every other update being "donkey kong/bowser iz in!!!1" or "why dont u have yoshi in lol?!" --Kenny2k 21:24, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Chris Wells

I saw that a while back in about February you had deleted the Chris Wells article on the grounds that it had previously been deleted at AFD for lack of notability. However this reincarnation of the article was about a different Chris Wells, one who played in the National Hockey League and therefore is notable enough under the Wiki-guidelines. I'm just letting you know because I have restored the article and want to let you know that it is a totally acceptable article. Thanks. OK then, sorry about that. — Malcolm talk 16:54, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem, I'm sure hockey's not your area of expertise so there was really no way you could have known. CroCan "Short answer 'yes' with an 'if'...long answer 'no' with a 'but'" 22:23, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I just noticed that all 52 revisions were restored—do you mind if I delete it, then restore the two revisions about the hockey player? — Malcolm (talk) 01:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Nope no problems here. CroCan "Short answer 'yes' with an 'if'...long answer 'no' with a 'but'" 01:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

A Link to the Past

I am currently in a dispute with A Link to the Past, and I'm wondering if you can help clear some things up. The first part deals with Mario characters. There was a very long merge discussion over a lot of them, and it ended with keep four of them. I then trimmed these articles and started a new discussion for them to get opinions. This discussion ended with one comment to merge due to most of the people in the last discussion no longer caring. Link has reverted these four claiming that there was no consensus, even though it is fine to go with the silent approach. He claims that I must stick with their opinions, even though they have changed and most are of them have certainly stopped dealing with the article.

The second comes from another discussion, where he claims that because he didn't participate, he can just revert Tingle due to his opinion that it warrants an article. I have invited him to start new discussions to display whichever points that he may like, but he just isn't practicing what he preaches. TTN 21:21, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't see any problems with the merges:
  1. The four articles, Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Boo (Nintendo), and Lakitu, seemed to focus almost completely on the games they appear in rather than characteristics, concept, etc., and since they're almost the same in every one, this is unnecessary.
  2. I don't understand why Link is reverting the Tingle merge, besides that he seems to like the article. Seeing as the "discuss" link quite visible in the merge tag led to Talk:List of recurring characters in The Legend of Zelda series, I find it hard to believe that he didn't notice there was a discussion there. It's also not considered good practice to remove a merge tag from an article when there's a discussion in progress. — Malcolm (talk) 21:51, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Do you think you could speak to him at all? I'm obviously not getting through to him, and I'm really just seeing his whole argument as some form of wikilawyering to keep those articles (though, I may just be annoyed at this point). TTN 22:34, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
