Blanking[edit]

There's nothing on User talk:Thomasthedarkenguine that they weren't allowed to remove per WP:BLANKING (they hadn't made a declined unblock request for their current block). There's no need to police their talkpage. Elli (talk | contribs) 15:09, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

They aren't blanking. And it's the content they are replacing it with that is the issue. It is misleading and borderline offensive. Lard Almighty (talk) 15:12, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't just remove their "retired" banner, you also readded all of the talkpage messages. Blocked users are generally allowed to mark themselves as retired. Elli (talk | contribs) 15:47, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I have readded the Retired notice (although I consider it offensive to the admins and other editors who did a lot of work with this editor) along with the block notice and reasons for context, removing all other TP contributions. Lard Almighty (talk) 16:00, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
