Thank you! I was really impressed by the constructive and non-acrimonious tone and contributions from everyone involved in the recent AFD discussion on the Alliance of Women Directors article. What could have been—with the wrong editors involved—a very nasty debate, turned into a very positive discussion. Even editors who strongly felt that the article should be deleted worked hard to find sources and fix problems with it. School districts[edit]

Hi! I'd like to discuss this edit.

According to Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Common_outcomes#School_districts school districts in the United States are automatically presumed notable because they are units of local government. WhisperToMe, you misrepresent Articles for deletion/Common outcomes, which summarizes how various types of articles have been dealt with on AfD. Since the article Yorkville Community Unit School District #115 did not exist when I made my edit to Dennis Hastert, it obviously was not the subject of AfD when you commented here. Ok :) - Now, just as an FYI, the text says ""Populated, legally-recognized places" include school districts, which conveys near-inherent notability to school districts per Wikipedia:Notability (geography)." - In reality that means automatic notability (if any incorporated city is automatically notable, school district is also automatically notable). I was aware that there was no suggestion that AFD should be used or anything, but I brought it up for this reason: People do create articles on school districts, and these articles survive.
