Draft:The Lead (EP)

  • I have moved this article to draft as their is no indication of notability. As the album is releasing soon, review or chart positions should be available shortly that will establish whether album is notable. - Slywriter (talk) 17:05, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
  • Okay, that’s no problem. I’m still new here on Wikipedia, there are other articles I’m still doing and I really like to create articles. - JuanGLP (talk) 06:19, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Deletion Discussion about The Lead (EP)

  • Hello, JuanGLP, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username FormalDude, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, The Lead (EP), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Lead (EP).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|FormalDude}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

KAINA

Article

  • I created KAINA with the intent to expand it in the coming days. Please feel free to improve the version in the main space. Thank you! - Thriley (talk) 13:38, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Oh okay. I saw there was barely any info so I moved it into the draft space, but it is okay. - JuanGLP (talk) 21:02, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Did You Know?

  • Thank you for your work on KAINA. Is there anything else you want to add? Another paragraph or two would make it enough of an expansion for it to qualify for Did You Know which would put a fact from the article on the front page. - Best, Thriley (talk) 21:10, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

QVEEN HERBY

Discography

  • Qveen Herby has nine EPs, not eleven. The Vignettes and Tiny Piano are single albums not EPs, so I fixed it! - Biandiamond (talk) 21:01, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
  • Oh, thank you! First I put nine, then I got mixed up with the other ones. Thank you! - JuanGLP (talk) 21:02, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

A Woman

  • This album is not a pop album, but it could fit into the R&B-pop category. - Biandiamond (talk) 00:53, 8 September 2021 (UTC)

Nomination for deletion of Template:FLO (group)

Template:FLO (group) has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. PopLizard (talk) 03:37, 21 August 2022 (UTC)

don’t worry, it’ll be deleted. like my other projects. — JuanGLP (talk) 06:47, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

JuanGLP If you spend a little more time and effort researching how to go about contributing to these areas, your work is much less likely to be deleted. Please reach out to me when you're starting something in which you don't have much previous experience. I'm happy to help and it will make things go smoother for you. ––FormalDude talk 06:58, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

MfD nomination of Wikipedia:WikiProject FLO

Wikipedia:WikiProject FLO, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject FLO and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:WikiProject FLO during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Graham87 03:19, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Hello, JuanGLP,
I just wanted to post a note of encouragement after your WikiProject and templates got tagged for deletion. One summer, I took on a task of categorizing all WikiProjects and there are thousands and thousands of defunct WikiProjects that died because they didn't have sustained attention from a group of editors. WikiProjects are easy to start and hard to keep going after the first month of their life. It really is impossible for just one editor to take on an entire WikiProject on their own.
But I encourage you to keep working on improving articles concerning this musical group. That kind of activity is always appreciated. Thank you for your contributions to the project! Liz Read! Talk! 03:02, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Your edit summaries

Please stop using "minor edit" as a default edit summary, as you did at Hilton Head Island High School. It's highly misleading as the term minor edit has a specific meaning here. Graham87 03:21, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:FLO

A tag has been placed on Category:FLO indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Talk! 01:14, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Hey Liz, it’s okay to delete any FLO related stuff. It’s not worthy to contest the nomination. Hope you understand. Happy editing. — JuanGLP (talk) 02:18, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for agreeing to have the WikiProject deleted. I've deleted the category mentioned above as well as Template:WikiProject FLO Invitation, its redirect Template:WikiProject FLO Invite, and Category:WikiProject FLO. If you want to have anything deleted that you created and you are the only one to have substantially edited it, you can tag it with {{db-author}}. Graham87 04:58, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Midnights revert

Hi! I’m just curious as to why you reverted my previous edit over at Midnights. I added templates, changed things to make the page comply with various points mentioned in the manual of style, and cut down on stuff that I didn’t think needed to be there as it puffed up the page (do we really need to comment on her changing her social media accounts?). Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 05:27, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

Okay, what I had was fine. And I can tell that you just reverted it. I'll undo that and make a few changes. Please do not get upset, and also check if it OKAY. Let me know before you revert it again. Hugs! – JuanGLP (talk) 05:31, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
I noticed you essentially just reverted my changes again with a different edit summary. I re-did a bunch of those changes, such as removing unsourced information, adding back helpful templates such as the {{other uses}} template and the {{2020s-album-stub}} template, and removing unimportant details such as Swift's site crashing, which isn't really all that exciting or notable and doesn't need to be reported on. In the hopes that this doesn't turn into an edit war, let's discuss any problem areas here before making any more edits of indirectly or directly reverting each other's work. For example, I'm curious to know why you removed those two templates and restored unsourced info. That could have been a mistake, or just an oversight on your part. Definitely not mad at all, and I look forward to discussing with you! Hugs back!! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 06:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
Okay, I just saw this. The stub, I did remove it and it was an error. The "crashed site" I have removed it, but I seen other TS album articles that seems to be so specific. Also we need to set a barrier to the article because since there are too many people with IPs that are adding absurd edits. Also, what did I restored the "unsourced info"? JuanGLP (talk) 06:15, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation! IPs making unhelpful/vandalizing edits are usually what happens when a page is created that attracts a lot of attention, as long as it doesn't get too out of hand we shouldn't need to protect the page. The unsourced info was the recording date in the Infobox that I saw you removed in a later edit, thank you for that :) Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:52, 29 August 2022 (UTC)
Oh that, I didn't even realized about the recording date. But yeah, no problems. :))

Re: Draft:Drag Race vs the World

"Drag Race vs. the World" is not a thing. These are two separate spin-off series. Are you ok if I mark the draft for deletion? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:34, 28 October 2022 (UTC)

Sure no problem. I tried to do some research to see if it's like a spin-off franchise, but there's nothing. I was planning to mark a deletion but if you're going to do it, that okay. — JuanGLP (talk) 15:45, 28 October 2022 (UTC)

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. JuanGLP, we've had to fix direct copyright violations you inserted at this article. The violations were from over a year ago, but if you violate copyright going forward, you'll be blocked from editing articles. Valereee (talk) 15:05, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi @Valereee, thank you for advising this serious issue.
It does seem these violations occurred over a year ago, which I forgotten about the page. Though what's funny that these copyright edits took a WHOLE year to notice. Now this is the second time having this message from another baking show having copyright text, but that issue was resolved back in early 2021, and people noticed it quickly [not like Baketopia]. Back then, I was a newbie editor here on Wikipedia, and now I learned my mistakes from copyrights to joining to WikiProjects and etc. Yeah I am still new, but you can't come up here saying: "if you violate copyright going forward, you'll be blocked from editing articles." If you are threatning me by blocking from editing article, how am I gonna learn my mistakes??? Anyways, the edits look resolved from the article, thank you for noticing me.
JuanGLP (talk) 15:26, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
A block from article space would be a natural consequence of you not learning to avoid copyright violations, which harm the project. You need to learn this right now, as the next copyvio you introduce will result in a block from article space. I'm sorry that seems harsh to you, but Wikipedia treats copyvio very seriously. Valereee (talk) 15:45, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
Here is some information to help you learn: WP:copyvio. Valereee (talk) 15:49, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
@Valereee, well thank for the 'advice'. Though I do have a favor. In this draft article: Draft:Reinas al Rescate, I do not know if the episode's summary are copyrighted from somewhere. The text came from the ES Wikipedia article, where I translated the text for the EN Wikipedia article. If it is copyrighted, please let me know so it can be removed from the article. — JuanGLP (talk) 16:08, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
Unfortunately I don't read Spanish. Basically, you'd need to search the original (Spanish) version on google and see whether google brings up a hit.
Now these aren't identical, but I can't tell whether it's a too-close paraphrasing. It probably takes a Spanish speaker to determine that. Rather than translating directly, consider reading the episode description, then coming in here and writing a summary from scratch.
For instance, you've got currently: "Hugo has identified as a boy for as long as he can remember. As a child, his family encouraged him to express himself freely, but this stopped when he reached puberty. Coming out as trans to his parents was difficult, and put a strain on his relationship with his father, Germán. Hugo was made fun of by others in his hometown, and could not leave the house for long periods. Hugo has asked the queens to help him reconnect with Germán and to regain his self-confidence. He is accompanied on stage by his father and his trans friend Lucía."
I could read that somewhere and write: "Hugo is a transgender man whose family was supportive of him while he was a child but withdrew that support when he reached puberty. His coming out as trans damaged his family relationships and caused him to be bullied. The queens help Hugo with his family relationships, and his father appears with him in the episode." Or something like that; frankly it's best to watch the episode yourself to make sure you've got it right. Valereee (talk) 16:27, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
