Hi Jordan8396. Have noticed your updates to the European Champions Cup page - really good and nice to have someone else doing some of the work as well! However, with regards to the average attendances I think it would be a good idea to keep the teams venues combined (e.g. Leinster play at RDS and Aviva) so that there is just one attendance row per team. I have a spreadsheet that combines the two and accounts for capacity % of ground. All the other rugby competition pages combine the attendances and have done for past seasons as well (sometimes all the way back to 2000-01). Although the individual figure for each ground is interesting I believe that it would cause a degree of confusion in the future as well as being inconsistent with other pages. Let me know what you think and keep up the good work. Jgjsmith006 (talk) 23:16, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jgjsmith006. Thanks for letting me know. I will happily remove the additional row I added for Leinster, since you know the how it has been done previously. And upon revision, I agree that for consistency across other pages it is better to only have the single row. --Jordan8396.ja (talk) 22:33, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Jordan8396. Like what you've done with the top scorers - I have added links. Another thought that has occurred to me is that this competition is once more sponsored by Heineken. Do you think that we should rename the page or keep it as European Rugby Champions Cup? Jgjsmith006 (talk) 23:38, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Jgjsmith006, Thanks for adding the links and flags to the player stats. It does appear on the official website that the championship name has reverted back to Heineken Champions Cup. So I'd say change the page name to reflect the official branding. Also, this is the way the tournament is being promoted so in notability terms it would be beneficial for the public to search the advertised name and find what they are looking for more easily (as personally I was confused to begin with as to whether the two names of the championship were synonymous) --Jordan8396.ja (talk) 22:49, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Jordan8396. Will look into it sometime over the weekend and see if I can get any new sources to confirm. Jgjsmith006 (talk) 00:03, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good afternoon Jordan8396. Following our discussion I Have added some linked sources and initially changed the page names to Heineken Champions Cup. However, after advice from another user we have decided to keep the current name. Partly this is due to Wiki guidelines on sponsorship and also it the name European Rugby Champions Cup is clearer that Heineken Champions Cup, although any search results using that name will still be redirected to the current European Rugby Champions Cup. Also the competition is still run by EPCR so regardless of name change it is still the fifth edition of the version run by them. Another suggestion was that any thoughts are discussed at WT:RU to avoid confusion. Thanks also for your edits with the results section yesterday. I have used them to update attendances and player stats. Jgjsmith006 (talk) 13:36, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jgjsmith006, That's not a problem, as long as it is still easily searchable. i think using the WT:RU page we for thes discussions is a good idea, especially with the added fact of more opinions there too. Also nor a problem in regards to the stats, i like to keep things up to date as close to real-time as the can be (post-match obviously). I Also had a thought of trying to find a template or notice to put at the top of the page to notify visitors it is a "work in progress" and is updated regularly. What's Your thought on this, and would it be worth asking in other wider discussions (such as the WT:RU project page)? --Jordan8396 (talk) 00:13, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think personally that could be a good idea, as is putting this forward for discussion on WT:RU. PeeJay is another editor you might want to discuss this with. Jgjsmith006 (talk) 10:36, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!
