King David Hotel bombing[edit]
Hello John. I would like you to consider reverting the edit that you've just made to the Lead of the King David Hotel bombing article. In the interests of keeping the Lead short, I think that details of the accusation made against the Chief Secretary and the subsequent court cases should be left to the Sir John Shaw controversy section in the body of the article. As there's a number of contradictions between what you wrote and what the section currently states, perhaps you'd like to comment on the accuracy of what the section says? The section says that two court actions were taken out, in 1948 not 1950, one against a London newspaper and one against the American author of a book. Is the "extreme Zionist publication" that you referred to the Irgun's Black Paper pamphlet?
I've been involved with the article for a long time and it was an interest in the bombing which drew me into registering as a Wikipedia editor in the first place. One of the major problems with working on the article is the contradictions that exist in, reliable in Wikipedia terms, sources over the sequence of events which followed in the hotel lobby after the Irgun warning call had been made. I'd be interested to know what you think happened.
I'd recommend either disabling the sending of email messages to you via Wikipedia or making sure that they go to a disposable email address.
