Contested deletion

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I am doing a research assignment for my University course. We were to chose a Wikipedia stub and work on expanding it, and I have chosen the Samsung Galaxy Star stub. I have no prior knowledge of this device and I am currently working on researching it and creating a more informative page.

• I'm going to decline the speedy, BUT I do have to say that the article needs a lot of work. The page does come across as promotional in tone and it's not really written in an encyclopedic tone. It's more written along the lines of something you'd see on a blog. As far as what comes across as promotional, phrases such as " Samsung has advertised the phone as an affordable, yet reliable and powerful device" come across as an advertisement for the company because the phrase was originally written as an advertisement buzz phrase. There are a lot of other phrases in the article that also fall within these lines as well, such as "which provides users with a powerful experience when they surf the web, play games, or stream content". In any case, I've declined it so you can work on removing the promotional content since this is for a college class. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 09:11, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
