Hi mate, take a look at the changes I've made to Scotty Welsh's page. Also make sure you use the preview button to make sure everything you want to edit is right. Keep up the good work mate, Rogerthat Talk 01:45, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

G'day mate, just letting you know about the footy project we have going on - WikiProject AFL. We've got 45 members at the moment but make sure you tell all your mates as this is the biggest source of footy info on the net - and we want to keep it that way! Join the project and drop us a line on my talk page with any questions. Cheers mate, Rogerthat Talk 10:12, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Jasrocks/Archive 1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Hi mate, noticed you had a crack at making the Scott Welsh page. With the afl infobox, make sure you copy it from another player, take the Mark Ricciuto page as an example. Remember if you have any questions, edit my talk/discussion page. Cheers mate, TheRealAntonius 10:28, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Players[edit]

Hi mate, let me say you've done some great work recently, keep it up. I reckon you should start profiles on some of the new players this year - see List of 2006 AFL debuts. Cheers mate, Rogerthat Talk 01:24, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re Wikiproject NBL[edit]

Hi Jasrocks. Thanks for the invitation to join your new wikiproject, but I have to decline, not least becasue I know very little about basketball. I don't recall what minor edits I might have made to make you even think to invite me, but thankyou.

Good things to read starting a wikiproject would include Wikipedia:WikiProject and Wikipedia:WikiProject/Best practices. When you get it organised, I suggest announcing it to Wikiproject Australian sports and on the Australian noticeboard.

As I see you are a V8 Supercar fan, did you know there's also a V8 Supercar wikiproject? It's also fairly new as the founder got into too many things at once, and I haven't tried to take over, just join in. --Scott Davis Talk 14:43, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've never been interested in basketball, but I agree I may be able to help on the cosmetic side of things. I'll think about it--M Johnson (talkcontribs) 23:18, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To tell the truth I've had really no interest in the NBL or NBA, but drop me a line on my talk page with the boxes you need done and I'll get around to it as soon as I can. Wikipedia needs expansion on these kinds of things so I'd be glad to help out, even though it isn't my favourite hobby in the world. Normy 03:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but it is the same for me. I have never been too keen on basketball and I am already in too many Wikiprojects. Perhaps later on when I have the time I may consider joining. Thanks for the invitation though. GizzaChat © 05:20, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Although I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of NBL/A, I've created a couple of basketball-related articles, like Darryl McDonald and Tony Ronaldson. I'll do my best to help further the project and get it off the ground. Good luck Rogerthat Talk 10:28, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I too don't know much about the NBL, I just like to see the Tigers and the 36ers win. I may drop in every now and then. Seth Cohen 10:57, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The notice you have left on the Adelaide 36ers page advertising the project isn't appropriate for the encyclopedic entry itself. Please move any such notices to article talk pages. Thanks. Harro5 00:27, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite mate. ill try help out but still heaps to do on my own Australian Basketball Association project. Hope you can help me! Gkeys 06:43, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Jasrocks for inviting me to the NBL project. I've added my name to the list and started the Sam Mackinnon page! Thanks --Abcdefghijklmnopqrst 07:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite i added myself and ill try to contribute as much as i can, i posted a possible ladder on the project talk page dont know if you need one or not. Hossens27 12:14, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jasrocks, you say that you are a member of the WikiProject but I can't see your name on the participants list. Please add your name there. GizzaChat © 08:37, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AFL season article naming convention[edit]

As a participant of WikiProject AFL I thought you might be interested in this. I have started a vote to get a consensus on the naming convention for AFL season articles. You can participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject AFL#AFL season article naming convention. Cheers. Remy B 13:28, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Nbl collaboration[edit]

The venues is a good place to start, if you want more people to join get the project out there. Mention it in the Australian notice board and other relevent places. I dont think the venues will gather enough support to become the collaboration but you never know. Hossens27 12:41, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to vote for the NBL collaboration, but I also want to vote for the AFL and CSIRO articles. And, as mentioned above, I think mentioning the project on the Australian notice board may attract some members ~ Trisreed my talk my contribs 01:10, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

to have a page deleted that you created in error (and that nobody else has edited), replace the contents of the page by

{{db|created by mistake, please delete. ~~~~}}.

Aleph4 11:14, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jaz, You know much about the CABL in SA? I have started a page but cant find much information on past winners. Also need to put together team pages for all the teams as I have slowly been doing for the South East Australian Basketball League. Hope you can help! Gkeys 00:54, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP A-League players

10% complete

Hi Jasrocks!

I just wanted to let you know about the big WikiProject A-League 2005–06 player project. It is an attempt to bring the articles on every player who played in the A-League in 2005–06 up to standard. Check out the main page for the player project to get the full list of players as well as useful links and stats to help out. Hopefully we can get the full list done before the beginning of the 2006–07 season. Don't forget to update the counts (they will automatically update the status bar) as you go. Thanks! Re: National Basketball League (Australia) Portal[edit]

Hey champ, how's it going? Thanks for the message - I have started to build up the portal you started. One thing you can get the people in your NBL Wikiproject to do is to fill up the currently empty Category:Australian basketball teams and Category:National Basketball League teams with the relevant teams. The first one is broader, involving all the NBL, WNBL and international Aussie teams, while the second one just includes the teams involved in the NBL, like the Brisbane Bullets etc. If you need any more help, feel free to drop by. Have fun! Brisvegas 04:01, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: WikiProject NBL[edit]

Jasrocks. Thanks for the invitation to join the project. I'm not a huge fan of NBL myself, but i'll be glad to help out with templates and userboxes if you would like. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do this for at least 2 weeks, but when that time has elapsed, just send out a message to my talk page reminding me about the project in case I forget.

Cheers,

New ACOTF[edit]

Australian Football Hall of Fame has been selected as the new Australian collaboration. As you voted for it, please help to improve the article in any way you can. Scott Davis Talk 14:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject NBL[edit]

Sorry about the late reply, haven't logged in for awhile. I'm not much of an NBL follower myself, but I might be able to help out with editing or other stuff outside the actual content of the articles. :) Willo kenobi 14:06, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AFL userbox[edit]

Hey. Hope you don't mind but I've kind of used your WP:AFL userbox on my user page. You should put that in the userbox section and on the WP:AFL template section because it is really good. Normy 07:03, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
