Adding a smart reply after (eg: "View Wizz Air map before changing edits") is NOT the way to go about doing things. Please include your source and a brief comment at the time of making the initial edit itself. Star1 Airlines and its destinations

Why would you want to separate out the destinations from the main article? Star1 Airlines was viewed 2549 times in March 2010, while destinations article only 446. Most people do not make the jump. I can't stand Ryanair. I Go with Monarch. They Rule! I usually go to Malaga with them from Manchester, but since our apartment is nearer to Gibraltar Airport, we are flying there instead this year.

This "looks better" stuff needs to be discussed at the project talk page. There have been past discussions on this matter and consensus is no flags. Airports

I initially saw this format on airports such as YYZ, CDG, and others. My general perception is that this layout accentuates which routes are seasonal, and which arent, to a greater extent than the previous format.

Future routes

To David J Johnson: This has been discussed here, although the airport serves the New York metro area. The airport itself is in the city of "Newark, New Jersey" and the airport is officially called "Newark Liberty International Airport". If you diagree, discuss it at the talk page and gain consensus. Paris BVA

Hi,

I guess you don't live in Paris ? ;-) You're right on one point, Paris has 3 airports. But they are Orly, Roissy-CDG, and... Le Bourget. They are managed by Aéroports de Paris, and their official name include "Paris-", as you can see on this website. On the other hand, BVA's official name is "Beauvais-Tillé", so it's not the same than London airports since those airports do have "London-" in their official name. BVA is managed by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de l'Oise, Oise being a department in the Picardie région, so nothing to do with Paris or Île-de-France. The name "Paris" in the logo is only a result from an arrangement between the CCI Oise and the city of Paris, it has nothing official besides that. In case you'd ask, same thing for "Paris-Vatry" which is actually "Châlons-Vatry".

I'm commenting on this because this debate has come up before. I think we all acknowledge the fact that Ryanair's airports are sometimes colourfully marketed, making some people/the unwise think they're closer to served Cities than they are. However, the airport pages show the airlines that serve the airport, and the destinations available. If we look here Ryanair states that Paris Beauvais is the airport they use (a slight fib). But having "Paris" on the pages of airports that Ryanair uses will ensure that those who use Wiki for reference are not further confused. Felipealvarez , I'm not sure what AIP you keep referring to, but that may be immaterial. The project guidelines, arrived at by consensus, after much debate over a period of time, are that we list destination cities and not airports (the section of the article is also called airlines and destinations, not airlines and airports). Wrong Airport names - It states that you list cities. So if you are saying to list the airport names then Oslo-Gardermoen should just be listed as Gardermoen. Just as --NorthernCounties said above how would someone know where Gardermoen Airport is?

Please don't try to change the meanning of the sentences you're quoting ;) It states that you list cities... and don't wikilink them. Just above, it also states "Differentiate between multiple airports in one city using "-"". As I've said just above, Beauvais-Tillé or Châlons-Vatry are not airports serving Paris, whatever Ryanair is telling you ; same for other "fantasy" names that Ryanair uses, we don't care nobody knows where some airports are, that's the point of using secondary airport! Oslo-Gardermoen can be listed as it since that's its actual name, but "Oslo-Rygge" airport is actually "Rygge-Moss" airport, the "-Moss" suffix being used to avoid confusion with Rygge Air Station, that has IATA and ICAO codes as well.

ACE, TFS, LPS, FUE

All information in Wikipedia has to be properly referenced, as Wikipedia is not a primary source. References are always required, in this case this is important in the case of charter flights (for their nature, individual flights operated only once). All I can say is that he is being very adamant. He is trying to make his own rules for an airport destination list. Tell him if he wants to add the citation tag, then to sit and include the same for all airport articles in wikipedia and not just for the ones he is doing them. Please reread WP:V

You appear to be misunderstanding the Wikipedia policy on verifiability. I readded a citation needed tag, and you undid my edit, because you say the reader is expected to check the page history for evidence? That's not how it works. Let me quote the nutshell of WP:V - "All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." Well, in this case, the claim that Small Planet Airlines operates out of Lanzarote Airport is being challenged, and so, according to the official Wikipedia policy, it must be attributed to a reliable published source using an inline citation. I'm not sure there's any room for misinterpretation here. Either provide a source, or don't remove the citation needed tag, it's as simple as that. Do you disagree with something I've said? If not, I'll readd the citation needed tag. Remember that decisions made between a small group of editors at a WikiProject do not overrule WP:V. Thanks, Mlm42 (talk) 18:31, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

What would be in the fourth column?

Well what would happen to the malaga airport page is that the third column would be a terminal check-in because certain airlines check-in at certain terminals (Only T2 and T3) and the fourth would be the pier the airline uses (Depending on their route). Ryanair Moving Terminal MAN

This is pretty cool, but very bizare and weird. Does it say on the Manchester Airport website?

How I think the new ryanair routes will go:

• Alicante: Will go pretty quickly. I would say the Monarch flights are more popular (This happened here:http://www.monarch.co.uk/news/flights/news-archive/another-one-bites-the-dust--monarch-sees-off-third-airline-on-the-manchester-to-barcelona-route )

• Tenerife South: Will also go pretty quickly (same reason)

• Faro: Will also go pretty quickly (same reason)

• Madrid: Not sure. Ryanair is the only airline that will operate MAN-MAD

Hi, Thery are moving to T2 to help retail sales and T2 is very empty after 10:30 each day. I agree about ALC, TFS and FAO. As for MAD both Ryanair and Easyjet operated it from Liverpool and then Ryanair dropped it. Will starting it from MAN make much of a difference?? The flights times are very bad. By the way, You know Ryanair are moving to Terminal 2, does it include Dublin flights, or is it just the flights to mediterranian? Because some airlines do just put certain routes into certain terminals. I think it will be confusing for passengers.

My flights to GIB were good. 35 mins late coming back though, but not Monarch's fault. Due to poor organisation at Gibraltar Airport. Some plane pics are on Commons. Monarch Edinburgh Pullout

Hi. I am quite sad about the pullout of charter flights from EDI from Monarch. Is it because of low passengers. I think it will mean loss of jobs because they said in their magazines that if they wanted a job they can get it in Edinburgh.

I actually think that Monarch should operate scheduled routes from EDI because i know quite a lot of people who use EDI.

Aer Lingus Fleet

34 A320 - 4 were dilerved in Jan, Feb, Apr & May 23.

3 A321 - the other 3 were returned to leaser late 2010.

7 A330 - had 8 until Feb when one was scrapped due to maintence issues. As they have 7 they can't sell one without cutting routes. Currently all are in service except one on Wednesdays. Flights from summer 2012 are on sale and they require all 7 A330.

Delta ATL-TLV

Hi. Per their schedules, Delta has suspended Atlanta to Tel Aviv nonstop from September 1 to March 26. I have change it to seasonal on both airport pages (since it will resume next summer). However, an IP continues to refer to the flight as suspended and will operate year-round again after next summer. I would leave it as seasonal until you can see if it will operate next winter. Although it may be back year round they must provide a sourse that says it will operate for winter 2012/13 and if they can't then it should be left seasonal until the schedules for winter 2012/13 are up on the website. The editor on the Mancheser Airport page got board of changing DL to JFK as being year round so it will be only a matter of time until it happons on the route above. Actually, the IP who continues to change DL to JFK to year-round was blocked because he ignored the 2 final warnings i have sent him and was blocked. Also, when you get a chance, can you explain to the IP who keeps on changing DL to ATL still year-round but with end dates. Hi MKY661, have only being in Man as a passenger a few times. Can't realy comment on T2 or T3 but T1 was alrit. When Ryanair moved to T2 it was to help retail sales so could the same be said for MON who would have flights departing all day. Aer Lingus Cargo destinations proposed deletion

The carrier does not operate a freighter fleet, how can it have a seprate cargo destination list? such lists are only for those airlines that operate cargo aircraft too, even in their case the destinations are listed with passenger ones and marked with a symbol to indicate passenger+cargo service or "cargo" if only a freighter service i.e Air France destinations, or a seprate article is created for the freight division entirely i.e Lufthansa Cargo, I'm sure you're well aware of all this.signed inspector123

Jet2 at LGW

Don't know of the company that uses Jet2 at Gatwick - only that I can find no evidence that Jet2 fly a scheduled route from Gatwick. I'm guessing that the entry of Jet2 flying Gatwick to Chambery should probably be deleted, but am hesitant to do so in case there is some obscure charter company

Hainan Airlines flights to Madrid, Colombo, and Mumbai

Do you know if Hainan is operating flights to Madrid via Brussels from Shanghai? I couldn't find it in their schedules. Also, Colombo and Mumbai doesn't appear to be loaded into their reservation system either (Colombo is supposed to launch October 18 to PEK via BKK; Mumbai is suppose to launch this route on September 25 to SZX via PVG). From what I know it is ending, and pilots were told they would be coming home at end of March. It was expected that EI would operate DUB - LAX/SFO insted but thats gone now, I would give it until the end of October and if not released by then it would be finishing. Delta flights from Tel Aviv to Atlanta

irish language version of belfast international airport

Hi there. Just to let you know Irish language is an official language of Northern Ireland, and while it may not be spoken in a vast majority of the UK in terms of no. of speakers, it is an official language of NI. As Glasgow Airport and Cardiff Airport both have minority language names after therefore it is perfectly reasonable for the Irish language version of Belfast International Airport to be included. Dublin Airport: Airlines & Destinations

Hi, I'm not very sure why you reverted what I had added and removed from the Airlines & Destinations table because Icelandair do fly from Keflavik to Dublin on a seasonal charter basis. The reason I know this is because I have viewed Keflavik Airport's website and it states that Icelandair operate between the airport and Dublin on a non scheduled basis. Cuneo Airport

Turin airport is closed for about 3 days beginning at 9 pm on Friday 06 July for work on its runway. All flights are diverted to either Milan or Cuneo. The only flights I can find to Cuneo in July on the Ryanair website are for about 3 days. COuld I suggest that the comments on Ryanair be changed to indicate that the Ryanair routes are just a 3 day diversion rather than routes which operate every week ?

I don't know what caused it as I had the same on the Dublin Airport page so I left it a few days and readded it and it went ok, didn't realise it made a mess on the Billind page. The former is fine (as per the talk page, I believe the "20,147" number to be correct, and it was/is already cited in the text). The latter, while likely at least roughly correct in the 2.23m range, is still missing a cite. The last 4 digits of "2,230,564" in particular - where's that from please?
