Your additions to Touki Bouki, Badou Boy, Le Franc, Hyènes, Hyenas (film) and Dark Metropolis have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. - While I understand the concern for copyright infringement, I belive that the total deletion of the Touki Bouki article was a bit harsh. Removal of the "offensive" sections maybe, but not total deletion as most of the info; actors, release date, external links are not copyrighted. I used info from the article about the director to build the subsequent articles does that mean that main article has to be deleted as well?

Why did you ignore the notice?[edit]

- Okay, something definitely went awry there. Everything between the quote tags I did not type... I had something totally different and I'm a little confused how and where all that came from.
- I added the Advent Children movie from the point-of-view of someone new to wikipedia, they may not realize that there are compilation section for each game and in my opinion the Advent Children is a standalone movie. I haven't had a chance to actually play Final Fantasy VII yet but was able to enjoy and follow the movie without needing to have played the game first.
- To make a long story short, I understand your point-of-view and was suggesting that maybe the documentation for the template be updated/modified to prevent others from making that same error in the future. Or even locking the template so only registered wiki-users can edit it.

I only altered the template just "slightly" however, its still abundantly clear to not add anything related to those said games in the Documentation. You just have to read it completely. Advent Children is part of Compilation of Final Fantasy VII not a standalone movie (this isn't about your opinion. - As I said, I realized that I stumbled into an apparently sore point. Might I advise altering the documentation for the template to specifically address the matter. Maybe a specific note for the Advent Children movie or an entry into the template's talk page or both?
- I suggest this because others, especially new editors, may have the same opinion that tAdvehe Advent Children movie can possibly be considered a stand alone movie and may attempt to re-edit the template to include it again.
- If I seem argumentative about this please forgive me, that is not my intention. I am just suggesting it as you pointed out it is tiresome when people keep repeating the same error. I'm just trying to suggest ways in which to address that issue.

- It does address the matter. You just have to read it. And advent children article even mentions Its part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy. It just takes proper research. there are many sequels you can follow without playing/watching the original. - I agree that to editors who are used to editing articles would go through the very steps you mentioned. But new editors or editors who haven't edited for a while might not take the time to do all the proper research.
- Sometimes people just need a flat outright statement telling them not what to do. Either because they are new or they are just excited or they are just not as thorough.
- I'm making the suggestion about a more specific direct notice for Advent Children because you indicated that it is an ongoing/recurring issue.
- In the end I was wrong because as you rightly pointed out I did not read all the documentation properly. I apologize for that again.

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! The Months of African Cinema Contest Continues in November![edit]
Greetings,
Thank you very much for participating in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.
It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 1,500 articles created in over fifteen (15) languages! This would not have been possible without your support and we want to thank you. If you have not yet listed your name as a participant in the contest page please do so.
Please make sure to list the articles you have created or improved in the article achievements' section of the contest page, so that they can be easily tracked. To be able to claim prizes, please also ensure to list your articles on the users by articles page. We would be awarding prizes to different categories of winners:
- Overall winner
- 1st - $500
- 2nd - $200
- 3rd - $100
- Diversity winner - $100
- Gender-gap filler - $100
- Language Winners - up to $100*

The AfroCine Project core team is happy to inform you that the Months of African Cinema Contest is happening again this year in October and November. We invite Wikipedians all over the world to join in improving content related to African cinema on Wikipedia!
Please list your username under the participants’ section of the contest page to indicate your interest in participating in this contest. The term "African" in the context of this contest, includes people of African descent from all over the world, which includes the diaspora and the Caribbean.
