A tag has been placed on Derby Chukwudi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Some advice[edit]

I took a look through your edit history, as I generally do when I see someone doing promotional editing, especially by directly creating advertisements there. I saw you asked for advice here ([1]), and you have at least been trying to properly use references and the like. So, some advice. The article you wrote above, Derby Chukwudi, was completely promotional in tone. Articles must be strictly neutral in tone and content, and not promote anyone or anything, including by "talking up". Writing an entirely new article is also a very difficult thing to do, so you would be better advised to use the draft and articles for creation process than direct mainspace creation. You're clearly not ready for that yet. For some other examples: Atta entered matrimony with Akbar Makarti in March 2005 and has since been blessed with two children. Article texts should not contain external links, and in addition to that, use matter-of-fact language, not flowery purple prose. People get married to someone, not "enter matrimony". They have children, not are "blessed" with them. The deleted article was full of similar puffery like that. So, you seem to be trying hard, but remember to tone that way down. Just present facts; don't use unnecessary adjectives or the like, and keep the flowery phrases out. Just show the reader the facts from the sources you use; let what to think about it up to them. Thank you for this guide.
I'd definitely follow each guide here.
Also, my attached mentor hasn't replied since I sent him the message. Is it possible to get another? Inegben (talk) 11:41, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That depends whether anyone's willing to do that. But if you have any questions about editing in the meantime, you can always ask at the Teahouse page, and more experienced editors can give you some advice. Seraphimblade Talk to me 13:20, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
