You won't believe this!

You guys won't believe this? I happen to say that I saw a Fantasia print which uses Green FBI screens, A trailer for Beauty and the Beast, the 1992 Feature Presentation screen, and the regular classics logo. Very intresting is it. And that version is SUPER rare to find! And it is a 1992 tape-remaster and I have that version. \

Ah, phooey! Everybody knows there's no such thing as a Fantasia, Robin Hood or Rescuers Down Under tape with the green FBI warnings or remastered tape in 1992! There's only 1 copy of Fantasia & it DOESN'T have any previews! It has the red/white FBI warning, orange FBI logo, no previews &/or FP logo & the 1989 regular classics logo! Same deal with Rescuers Down Under, there's only 1 copy & it doesn't have 2 previews or 1992 FP logo, it has the red/white FBI logo, orange FBI logo, 1986 home video logo, 1 preview of The Jungle Book, 1991 FP logo & the 1989 regular classics logo! Also, same deal with Robin Hood, there's only 1 copy & it has 2 previews & not the 1988 original classics logo, it has the red/white FBI warning, orange FBI logo, 1986 HV logo with Mickey, 2 previews of The Jungle Book & The Rescuers Down Under, 1991 FP logo & cut-short version of the 1989 regular (not original) classics logo! I have the version of Robin Hood which uses green FBI screens, no previews, and 1988 original classics logo. And I have The Rescuers Down Under with Green FBI screens, 1986 WDHV logo, 2 previews of Jungle Book and Robin Hood, 1992 FP screen, and the 1989 regular classics logo. You know that Fantasia video I was talking about which uses green FBI screens, a trailer for Beauty and the Beast, 1992 FP screen, and 1989 regular classics logo? Well my Fantasia video dosn't have that my bad, a friend of mine has that version of Fantasia. My video uses Red/White FBI warning, and the orange "Licensed" logo. And My copy of TRDU uses 2 previews! It really does that!

I don't believe it! There's no such copy as that! I own Fantasia & it has the same stuff it normally has, the red/white FBI warning, orange FBI logo, no previews &/or FP logo & the 1989 original classics logo! According to everyone else, they say there's no copy of Rescuers Down Under with Green FBI warnings, 1986 HV logo, 2 trailers of The Jungle Book & Robin Hood, 1992 FP logo & the 1989 regular classics logo, but you decided to stick with it anyway, I highly agree with everyone on that. It's also not true that Rescuers Down Under had the green FBI warnings, no previews & 1989 regular classics logo, same deal with Robin Hood. Those green FBI warnings were introduced in 1992, there are no copies of Robin Hood, Rescuers Down Under, Dumbo, Fantasia & Sword in the Stone with green FBI warnings, (a la Shrek) end of story! Yeah! there are some copies of "Robin Hood", "The Rescuers Down Under", "Fantasia" that use green FBI screens Mr. Know it All! I don't believe that! Well why don't you ask my user friend Imax80! I bet he will know all that stuff! And he loves Disney more than anything!

• To end all of these fights, Fantasia was withdrawn in December of 1991, your copy must've been a glitch copy when they were processing copies for 101 Dalmatians or something. "Robin Hood" does use Green FBI screens and the 1988 prototype Classics logo because Wile E2005 posted it on Youtube.com once (but not the screens, just the logo and the film's opening), I haven't seen TRDU with green screens, I have all the early printings. You know, kinda' think about it, I know why copies of Robin Hood & Rescuers Down Under have green FBI warnings, they were tape glitches, while working on 101 Dalmatians & Great Mouse Detective. So I think that prooves that the green FBI warnings were introduced in 1992 on 101 Dalmatians & 1992 tape glitches of Robin Hood & Rescuers Down Under. Mr.wheeler 11:55, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

• Robin Hood was dropped from print in 1994, when the Masterpiece version came out. I think in 1992 or 1993, Jungle Book was no longer available on video, so they cut those previews and gave them a more modern qauilty, so they just put the Green FBI screens/1989 Classics logo (full), but Marco says his copy was printed in September 1991, but copies are always printed in a matter months before their actual release, so his was printed early in the proccess. --Imax80 23:27, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Here's how I see The Jungle Book, at the website, you can see its original 1991 print at http://www.sellersourcebook.net/members/watch/enlarge.php?aid=dia1990&img=3196/100_0868.jpg, which probally explains that its silk-screening edition wasn't available until May. 3, 1992, then dropped out of print when The Great Mouse Detective came out. Now let me tell you about Robin Hood, when it came out on Jul. 12, 1991, it was specifically made for silk-screening 'cause the 1984 & 1986 editions already had a white label, which explains that the copy with the green FBI warnings weren't made until Jul. 12, 1992, then dropped out of print when Great Mouse Detective came out. About The Rescuers Down Under, the original printing from Aug 27, 1991 had a vertical white label 'cause my neighbor has that copy, then on Sep. 27, 1991 it had a horizontal white label made to look like silk-screening containing the same stuff the 1st 1 had. Then on Sep. 27, 1992 came its silk-screening edition which had the same stuff the last 2 did. Then on Sep. 27, 1993, the copy with the green FBI warnings, no previews & 1988 regular classics logo. When Aladdin came out on video, Oct. 1, 1993, Rescuers Down Under dropped out of print. Now, Fantasia's original printing from Nov. 1, 1991 had a gold vertical label, then later re-printed Nov. 1, 1992 with silk-screening, which is why when Pinocchio was rereleased on Mar. 26, 1993, Fantasia dropped out of print. For The last time Imax80, I got my print in 1991. And I got that tape around October 1991- November 1991. And it was printed on September.17,1991. For that Rsecuers Down Under tape, I happen to say that my copy of The Rescuers Down Under was printed in April 1992, because it uses the 1992 Feature Presenation screen. EXTREMELY STRANGE! Isn't it? And it must of been a tape glitch. And it was printed after the relesse of 101 Dalmations, because 101 Dalmations was the first video to use the handwritting Feature Presentation screen from 1992.

Your oldest videocassette

Even as a Disney fan, I'm flexible, even to the point of collecting titles older than even Pete's Dragon (my oldest VHS is M*A*S*H, from Magnetic Video, released 1978). I hear there's a competition at IMDB.com's message boards as to what a user's oldest VHS cassette is (the oldest they've gotten to so far is "The Boston Strangler"). If you want to win that competition, you might need to concentrate not just on Disney but also on Magnetic Video and Paramount Home Video (they're the oldest VHS cassettes EVER). Original FBI Warnings

1978-1984

These were the first FBI warnings Disney used. Some variations in 1981-82 has a blue screen saying,"FOR SALE ONLY NOT INTENDED FOR RENTAL" in big yellow letters. The first screen is a blue background with a black rectangle on the side with the FBI logo in white inside of it. Next to it is white text reading off the policy, and "WARNING" above it yellow letters. The next screen is blue as well. The yellow letters in Times font read off the last warning before fading to black like the other screens do. A blue "Duplication" screen was used once in a while.

This is a rare find, it's on several videos. It was first used on the Discovision releases, and then so forth, and ended on 1984 Cartoon Classic releases. --

Original Warnings Variation

1983-1984

Used with the blue Warning screen, this red FBI screen was a box containing the black FBI logo with a white section next to it containing the warning. This is very rare and used on tapes printed in 1983 and 1984.

The first screen is white with a red-orange bar to the left. The FBI logo is inside it. Next to this red-orange bar is the warning. The next screen would be on a red-orange background. The warning is in white letters. Sometimes the first screen would slideshow to the next screen instead of fading to black. A Duplication screen was used once during its run.

Seen on several late 1984 releases and up until the early 1990s, when they were having a switchover with the next FBI screens. These are probably some of the easiest screens you can find on a Disney video.

The FBI warning is in a white outline, with the FBI logo in white. The warning is inside the box outline, and it's on a dark red background, the next screen is not faded to, but played by slideshow style. The screen is dark red with the simple font saying the warning. A video dealer announcement on an aqua/black background would follow, complete with a male announcer.

Seen on some releases from late 1985 to early 1988.

Like the 1985-88 variation, the FBI logo and warning inside a white box on a pine green background. The next screen is also on a green background, and the "Warning" is more 3D esque than the previous warnings. There was a "Duplication" screen used on it's early days, and that is it.

These warnings also appear on several releases from the early to mid 1990s.

Similar to the early 90s warnings, but the fonts are different, and the logo is a darker green. Seen on releases from the era. A Duplication screen was used on only one cassette (or another).

You told Mjen1952 or who ever his name is about the FBI Warnings, the previews, and the logos on the 1992 print of "The Rescuers Down Under" and the 1993 print of "Fantasia". Well here are a few corrections. The 1992 FBI Warnings (Green FBI Warnings) were actually 1991, because I have the 1991 "Robin Hood" print with Green FBI Warnings, and proto-type classics logo. And my copy was printed September.17,1991. And what does that get your new editions of "The Jungle Book" of "Robin Hood"? What is that about? On the 1993 print of "Fantasia", I think it has a trailer for Beauty and the Beast. I'm sure about that, because I have "Fantasia" with Red/White FBI Warnings and Orange FBI logo, and the 1989 regular classics logo. And how do you know about this Systemoperator? COMMENT ME BACK! Yes, there were 4 versions of The Rescuers Down Under made & 3 versions of Fantasia made & both of those tapes dropped out when Aladdin came out. The 1st version of The Rescuers Down Under's owned by my neighbor up the street. It's from September 20, 1991 & has the vertical white label texture on the tape. On the film's the 1984 FBI warnings, 1986 HV logo, the trailer of The Jungle Book, 1991 FP logo & 1989 classics logo. The 2nd version's from February 28, 1992, has the horizontal silk-screening texture & has the same film as last time. The 3rd version's from April 10, 1992 & has the February 1992 tape master. This time on the film, the 1992 FBI warnings, 1986 HV logo, 2 trailers to get your new editions of The Jungle Book & Robin Hood, 1992 FP logo & 1989 logo. For those who are wondering about the previews, they were encouraging you to get the 2nd versions of The Jungle Book & Robin Hood from February 28, 1992. The Jungle Book was the same preview, only this time they decided to do it for its 2nd release. It was also, still available in 1993, but the Robin Hood preview was encouraging you to get its 2nd release, but it dropped out when 101 Dalmatians came out. So, they were encouraging you to get it, before it goes back in the Disney Vault. Anyway, the 4th version of TRDU's from March 26, 1993 & still has the February 1992 tape master. On the film, this time, 1992 FBI warnings & no HV logo/previews/FP logo, but the 1989 logo. The 1st version of Fantasia's from November 1, 1991 & has a vertical gold label tape master. On it, the 1984 FBI warnings, no previews & 1989 logo. The 2nd version's from February 28, 1992, has the horizontal silk-screening tape master & the same film as last time. The 3rd version's from March 26, 1993 & still has the 1992 tape master. This time on the film, 1992 FBI warnings, a trailer of Beauty & the Beast, 1992 FP logo & 1989 logo. About the gold FP bumper...

After getting a peak at the 1988 VHS of "Three Men and a Baby", I can tell everyone that the gold FP bumper is not from 1991, but 1988. The same FP bumper was also used on the 1990 VHS of "Pretty Woman". (Both of these titles are from Touchstone, BTW) Gabrielkat 22:41, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

The Feature Presentation logo with the white italic cursive font on a lilac-blue background was not 1992. But 1991 because, the earliest printing of 101 Dalmatians was November 1991. So that proves that the FP screen was created in 1991.

Yes and No. The Robin Hood prints are true, but however, there is only "1" version of Fantasia, "1" version. I don't where you guys got the idea of a 2nd edition from 1992, but "Fantasia" was released in Nov. 1, 1991 and discontinued at the end of 1991. That's that. Wait a minute, The second version was not relessed on November.1,1992. It was actually relessed around November and they had the 1992 FP logo because, the earliest printing of 101 Dalmatians was in November. And for the green warning screens, they were showen on November.1,1991, because that's when Robin Hood and The Rescuers Down Under with the green warning screens came out. And the Fantasia print with green FBI screens, Beauty and the Beast trailer, and 1992 FP logo, was relessed around mid November- early December, and at the end of December, Fantasia went out of print. And Copper20 has that print! When well you see The Rescuers Down Under with the green FBI warnings?

Yes, the red/white FBI warning & orange FBI logo variation was used by Disney 1984-91, Touchstone 1986-91 & for Miramax & Hollywood films just 1991. The red/white FBI warnings & orange FBI logo in the new bigger fonts was only used by all the studios in 1991. The red FBI warnings/video dealership annoucement variation was used by Disney 1986-88 & by Touchstone 1986-91. The green FBI warnings variation was used by Touchstone 1991-98 & for the other 3 (as far as I know) where used from 1992-98. The green FBI warnings variation in the new bigger fonts was used by Touchstone 1997-2000 & for the other 3 (as far as I know) where used from 1998-2000. The blue FBI warnings variation was used by all the studios from 2001-present. The gold FP logo was used by Touchstone 1989-92, Disney 1991-92 & for the other 1/2 of the amount of studios listed used only 1991. The scrolling hand-writing FP logo was used by Disney 1992-96 & not at all by the other 3. The same logo with different dialogue was also used by Disney 1996-99 & not at all by the other 3. Wait a minute, why is the scrolling text 1 only used on Disney videos, why not Touchstone, Hollywood, or Miramax? Are those companies scared of that logo? Well, which FP logo did they use from 1992-1999? And what makes you think that Touchstone uses green FBI Warnings in 1991?

Touchstone, Hollywood & Miramax pictures had their own 1992 FP logo, 'til 1996. In 1992, they used the FP logo in blue words & black BG w/annoucer saying the 1990 dialogue "& now, for our feature presentation" as their own 1992 FP logo, which would sometimes be even used by some Disney VHS 1992. In 1993, they used the same FP logo as last time, but use different dialogue w/annoucer saying "& now, our feature presentation" as a newer logo, while Disney still kept goin' with their scrolling 1992 FP logo, but still would sometimes use even the other studio's FP logo on some of their 1993 VHS releases. In 1994, the 3 studios had a new FP logo with dark blue CGI words & black BG w/annoucer saying the same thing as the last logo, which was known as their newest 1994 FP logo, while Disney still kept using their scrolling 1992 FP logo, but sometimes would use the 3 other studio's FP logo. In 1995, their was a new FP logo that started on a black BG & blue words, then would turn white & then become blue BG & white words, which would later replace the 1994 logo for all 4 of the studios, used up all the way to 1999. Now, even though they started using that FP logo in 1995, Disney still used their scrolling 1992 FP logo on some of their VHS 1992-1996 & would later result in a video editing error in the 1999 VHS of "A Bug's Life", so sooner when "Toy Story" came to video, Disney created new dialogue for the scrolling FP logo, which later become their newest 1996 FP logo, but would still use the 1995 FP logo on some their VHS 1995-1999. & if your wonderin' 'bout the green FBI warnings, well 1 day, I went to my grandma's house & she owned 1991 VHS of "Greencard" that showed the green FBI warnings, the "Now You Can Own Your Favorite Hit Movies From Touchstone Home Video" logo, the promo of Touchstone titles 1986-1991, gold FP logo on gray BG, Touchstone Pictures logo, main titles & start of the film. No, it wasn't! The 1st copy of Fantasia was released as an early printing with a gold vertical label when The Rescuers Down Under came out & has the 1984 FBI warnings & 1989 classics logo. The copy that has the horizontal silk-screen label was released November 1, 1991 & still has the 1984 FBI warnings & 1989 classics logo then went out print when 101 Dalmatians came out. On February 28, 1992, they released a copy of Fantasia that had the 1992 FBI warnings, trailer of Beauty & the Beast, 1992 FP logo & 1989 classics logo as a glich copy while processing 101 Dalmatians, which Imax is right on that fact. Also, whoever told you that 101 Dalmatians was 1st printed in November 1991 is stupid! He doesn't know what he's talking about 'cause Beauty & the Beast was released in theaters November 1991 & The Great Mouse Detective wasn't re-issued 'til February 1992, so Feb. 1992 is when they 1st started printing 101 Dalmatians 'cause before that, they glitched Fantasia & released it 2/28/92, then the next day, which was leap day 1992 (February 29), they began processing 101 Dalmatians. As for the 1988 classics logo, it would be great if we saw Super Mario in it, but he's not a magical character, so he could not be seen at the beginning of the logo, but I do agree he could fly though the screen, before the words turn gold. So that means that there was a glitch copy of Fantasia on Feburary.28,1992. And the first videos that used 1991/1992 FBI Warnings was Freaky Friday, Robin Hood, and Fantasia, and Fantasia was the first 1 to use scrolling handwritting text FP logo. Right? About that bumper on the first copy of Beauty and the Beast. They really didn't have that bumper. I made a mistake. There really is no such bumper as "& now here are two new special previews from disney" in company font. There really isn't. I was wrong. I thought it had that at the end. But it dosn't! No such bumper!

About the 1992 print (The one that says Special Previews) of Beauty and the Beast... there is no 2nd preview on the copy after the movie since Pinocchio's 1993 Print was unheard of back then. The 1993 print has Special Preview, and I have seen this one from one of my old friends back in Missouri/Maryland. Why, yes! Freaky Friday and Robin Hood were the first two films to introduce the green FBI warnings in 1991, I found out, after upon discovering that some films like Fox and the Hound take months to make. The glitch copy of Fantasia was second film to introduce it and first one to introduce 1992 FP logo, by mistake. As for Beauty and the Beast, I had a talk with Marco and he told me no such logo, meanin' your right. They made four versions of Beauty and the Beast with the 1st version having the "Special Previews" logo & only just one 101 Dalmatians trailer shown from 10/30/92, then with Pinocchio on VHS 3/26/93, BATB was still in progress of editing and they made it even & added a trailer of Pinocchio to it, with the "Coming to Home Video" logo at the beginning of the trailer, after the movie and before the 101 Dalmatians trailer which still had the same stuff at the beginning, then on October 1, 1993 when Aladdin came out, they changed the Pinocchio trailer into a different version of the trailer, still seen at end with the "Coming to Home Video" logo with still the same stuff it has at the beginning & finally, when The Fox & the Hound came to VHS 3/4/94, they moved the Pinocchio trailer to the beginning of the movie for some reason, in which they cutted the "Coming to Home Video" logo out. • I finally got my 1980 copy of "Escape to Witch Mountain"! When I first got the film on VHS, I was deceived by the huge Mickey at the top. Now I know the difference (for a 1980 copy and not just a cheap 1985 remake copy, check for Handel Gothic font), and just earlier this month, I ordered a copy of the 1980 version on eBay, and it was Beta! And guess what? I now have a Betamax player! The other two tapes I have on Beta are Repo Man (from MCA Home Video and Pacific Arts) and The Terminator (with Spanish subtitles). --Ryanasaurus0077 12:18, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
