June 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi Ick567! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Wheat Pennies several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Wheat Pennies, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you.

In this specific situation, we already have a very comprehensive article on this topic written at Lincoln cent, so as a previously-uninvolved editor I have restored the prior redirect. You are welcome to add information to Lincoln cent if you provide reliable sources that back it up. signed, Rosguill talk 05:05, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Number of times countries changed their flags requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Number of times countries changed their flags requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader.

An article you recently created, Number of times countries changed their flags, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 01:31, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ick567,
Soon these incomplete articles will not be moved to Draft space, they will simply be deleted. They are not ready for main space. Please work on improving articles in Draft space and then submit to Articles for Creation. Repeatedly undoing page moves will result in simple deletion if you keep ignoring the messages people are trying to offer you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:34, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ick567[edit]

Hello Ick567,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ick567 for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
