Hi, Hotaka, and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice you are adding links to the pinkeiga site in some the pinku eiga subjects. Thanks! I notice this site has some good information in English on subjects with little English-language sourcing. For major films like Lonely Cow, we should have a separate article eventually, and just use the pinkeiga site as a source within the article, and the same with major directors and actors. I hope you stay to contribute more information to these articles. If you are a native Japanese speaker, maybe I can ask you for help later? (I have done a lot of work in the pink and AV subjects, but my Japanese is far from fluent, and I sometimes have some difficulty with translations.) Cheers! As I feared, Hotoka, some editors have removed your contributions. (Wikipedia currently cooks up home-made, subjective definitions of "notability" which have no relation to what experts on any particular subject have to say. Until a subject is proved to pass these arbitrary, made-up rules, an article on that subject is not allowed here. It will be a simple matter to prove these films and people pass the "notability" game though. All these rules do is slow down the process of contributing...) Hotoka: These two diffs { [1] [2] } contain the deleted links. Please feel free to make a case for these films on Talk:Pink film. A Google search could help you find if anything has been written online about these films.

Dekkappai: without the notability guidelines (that you find "arbitrary" and "made-up"), Wikipedia would quickly devolve into free advertising for everything. The pinkeiga.com site (domain for all the links in question here) describes A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn and S&M Hunter as "[t]wo of our films", so I think there is sufficent evidence that these links are not suitable (per external link and conflict of interest policies) to demonstrate these films' notability. Ah, Edgarde. The English-language descriptions you removed were at a list of award-winning films. If Wiki-guidelines (made up by anonymous Wikipedia editors) doubt the "notability" of films which have been awarded in their field, I am at a loss to explain these guidelines in a more generous adjective than "arbitrary". And yes, someone somewhere profits from all films, books, biographies, music, websites, etc. So maybe we should play it safe and remove all sourcing from Wikipedia. Are you being serious? My main objection to these links was the lack of sourcing. This is not unreasonable. And if you have reliable sources, then these films may be notable. (Not every film that wins an award needs be listed in an article about the entire genre, but that's another discussion.) / edg ☺ ☭ 19:59, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Lonely Cow

Hi, Hotaka-- glad to see you back. I notice you replaced the image in A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn with the DVD cover. Was the image I found the orignal poster? If so, that should be in the info box. However, we can start a section on "Availability" and put the image of the DVD cover in that section. Hope you stick around to help with the pink film articles. Hi, Hotaka-- yes, if you have the original poster art, that is what we should use in the infobox. Maybe you can scan & upload it, then copy the text in my image into your image description-- Image descriptions must be done very carefully or they get removed. DVD covers are "second best" for articles on films. If we have original poster art, that is what we should use. Also, since you are affiliated with the pinkeiga company, you should be extra careful to not appear to be advertising for your company. I think your position give you a good advantage for knowledge and sourcing on these subjects-- and they do deserve articles-- but Wikipedia is very squeamish about "Conflict of Interest" when a person or company writes about themselves. Very good for a first article! One thing to be careful about: Don't copy the plot description exactly from a site, because that will be deleted as "copyright violation". I reworded the plot description and sourced it to the pinkeiga description. Dekkappai (talk) 18:53, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Also-- keep in mind you don't have to use only English-language sourcing. If you know of good Japanese reviews or news coverage of these subjects, that will help. If you're interested in or know much about other areas of pop culture (AV for example), we can always use help with Japanese-language sourcing, because these subjects are often put up for deletion. Currently Airi & Meiri are up for deletion. If you could contribute anything that shows they are "notable" to help save the article, that would be apprecated! Regards. Hi, Hotaka-- I see you're working on S&M Hunter-- that's one I've been thinking about starting-- it deserves an article... In the meantime, the Deletion discussion of Airi & Meiri is going badly. If you know of any interview or article on them in Japanese, that would probably save the article. Also, I'm working on Yumika Hayashi. Thanks, Hotaka-- Even if Meiri is retired there must be old interview/articles... But it's so difficult to find articles on Japanese subjects like AV or pink eiga, even though I know in Japan there are many... And there must be a lot on Yumika Hayashi-- in fact she was in many pink eigas as well... The problem is, we have to be in Japan to be able to find these older materials, since they are not very often on the Internet-- at least not that I can find them. Anyway, thanks for looking! The article is targeted for deletion because no one (English-speakers) can find information on them-- as if they are not "notable"-- yet you knew about them as soon as I asked, and were able to find an interview within just a few minutes. Sorry, Hotaka-- they've removed that interview for 2 reasons. 1) it was a recording

Yes-- I know Japanese magazines/newspapers print articles on these subjects, but they don't put them on the Web. Or they put them up, and then take them down quickly. It's very frustrating... Anyway-- the two books, you probably know them already:

Nice-- I look forward to seeing Tsumugi. But for the article on the film, it's best to have the original Japanese theatrical poster in the infobox. We can start a section about the DVD releases (both Japanese and US) with citations to articles mentioning them, release dates, special features, etc. and then move the DVD cover image there. Cheers! Yes-- Thanks! I've just done a little copy edit on that new section. We should use the theatrical poster, if we have it, in the infobox, and then the DVD cover for sections about the DVD releases. Other pink film awards?

Hi, Hotaka. Can you find any information on pink film awards besides the Pink Grand Prix? At the pink film article, there are a few mentions of the "Zoom Up Awards" which ran from 1980 to 1994, but do you know of any complete listing-- all films and people who won awards for each year?
