Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Horseracing4ever. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tim Conway, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. General Ization Talk 03:38, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As to the distinction between a stepdaughter, an never-adopted daughter, and someone estranged from the family, none of this is mentioned at the reliable source cited for the information that Conway has 7 children, and we cannot accept your claim as a contradiction to our cited sources. All of our content must be supported by citations of reliable, independent sources, and claims of personal knowledge not supported by such sources do not qualify. General Ization Talk 03:42, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm User:CodeTalker. I have reverted the change that you have once again made to our Tim Conway article. Please read WP:VNT which I hope will help you understand why this change is not acceptable. If you want to change the number of children in this article, you need to find a RELIABLE SOURCE which states this information. Personal knowledge is not acceptable, since no one apart from you has any way of verifying that information. I understand that this can be frustrating, and I personally had to leave some false information in an article here, until I could find a reliable source which corroborated that information. But these are the rules and is how Wikipedia works. I urge you to stop repeatedly adding this unsourced information, because that ultimately going to get you blocked from editing Wikipedia at all. CodeTalker (talk) 20:15, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will Continue to correct your false information. Tim conway had 6 children. Do you want to see birth certificates? Social security cards? The 7th child you are referring to has a father who is not my dad Tim Conway. Stay out of my family business please Horseracing4ever (talk) 22:42, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
