cut-and-paste moves[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Grind Session a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. ~ Troy (talk) 17:31, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Afterparty[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Coalition Network Presents The Untouchable DJ Drastic: The Real New York MIMS, The Coalition Network Presents DJ Drastic's Bag of Tricks, The Chapel: The Untouchable DJ Drastic Live @ Avalon Nightclub, NY, The Grind Kings & K. Slack Present King Without A Crown: Book One, The Coalition Network Presents DJ Drastic For Mayor, Empire State Studios & The Coalition Network Presents Who Is Jay Kwest?, DJ Drastic: Live @ Centro-Fly Nightclub, NYC, DJ Drastic: Live @ Sound Factory Nightclub, NYC, The Afterparty Version 3.1, The Afterparty Vol. III, The Afterparty Vol. II, The Afterparty requesting that they be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the articles appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Duffbeerforme (talk) 10:06, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Mancini (rapper)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Mancini (rapper), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

no real claim to notability, lacks coverage in reliable sources

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
