Where is the problem?? I used all the sources that do not have direct mention of the subject as was suggested to me by one 0of your editors.This is ridiculous! Please review the notability guidelines discussed at this site WP:GNG. The subject must be a major part of those references, not just a trivial mention. The previous comment was that you cannot use articles written by the subject to prove notability. Further, the tone of this article looks like Advertising in that it primarily describes the formation of the company and services of the company, instead of what the company did as a notable contribution to society or the profession. Not requesting a re-review. Just want to thank you for your quick review of my edit of "An American Cantata". I would never argue your point of view. You are the authority here. Anything you might offer as further instruction would help, and possibly in the end this article cannot satisfy the notability requirement. Here's my dilemma. It would appear from wikipedia and other significant sources that the composer is fairly well known and prominent, as is the Kennedy Ctr, and its program of events surrounding the Millennium. Is it that the composition is a minor work by this composer? and thus not notable unless cited as such by sufficient third-party sources? I guess what I'm asking is...does the article fail because there are no 3rd party sources supporting the subject of the article as significantly important or notable enough to be in an encyclopedia? ...(though there are third party sources that indicate the composition and the event at least did exist). If that's the case, then perhaps additional sources might be found. For example, a citation by a source coming from the Martin Luther King Estate indicating the notability of this setting of one of his most famous speeches? I'm not asking you to opine on this. PS...I'm looking at the wiki music-notability page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(music). Very helpful. Seems like though the Composer has qualified for an article on a number of criteria for notability -- under "Composers" section....has credit for writing notable compositions, has 2 Grammy nominations, Tony Awards etc.....I see now it is this composition itself (An American Cantata) that is not yet qualifying for inclusion as the subject of a separate article on its own. True, the composer is notable and has a page. True, this composition is listed on his article page. Also, I feel that the references you use in your draft verified that this event happened and had notable individuals involved. However, nothing in your draft article explained why this composition was notable. I recommend you read WP:NCONCERT to assist in establishing notability. Hermera34 (talk) 11:33, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

If you look at the second paragraph in the article you referenced as being similar, you should see the difference. The AN/PRC-148 article documents (with at least one independent source) why that product was notable in that several thousand radios were used in recent combat actions. question about declined new article

@Hermera34: Could you expand more about declining the article E.W. Blanch? It seems like you're just declining it because I cited URLs instead of being more detailed in my citations? In the past I've had an article approved with just URLs. I understand that isn't ideal and could be improved but is that really grounds for declining an article? It should be obvious what they're referencing. In fact doesn't it specifically say here not to do that? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Reviewing_instructions#General_standards_and_invalid_reasons_for_declining_a_submission "Avoid declining an article because the references contain bare URLs or other reference formatting problems." It's fine if you decline for another valid reason but I wanted to get more details, or at least somewhere where I can get a second opinion on that given what the above reference page says. I understand that and probably should've explained that I had a difficult time determining if this company was notable. Based upon looking at the URL links and the inline references, I couldn't determine if the sources were nothing more than trivial mention of the company. I was trying to assess the notability listed at the following wiki site, WP:ORG. If you believe I erred in my assessment, just repost and see what another wiki AFC reviewer will do. Carlos B. Brewer

Hi Hermera34 - thank you for approving my article for submission on Maj. Gen. Carlos Brewer so quickly. There is one concern that I have regarding the title of the article "Carlos Brewer", where the title was changed to Carlos B. Brewer, and a middle name of "Brou'er" was added to the lede. I believe that is a phonetic spelling error, and not part of his name, since it appears only on the title of one page, and no other mention of him having a middle name is listed on any website or any other reference, including the official West Point alumni reference (see Cullum 1940 ref) and not on the image of his gravestone at Arlington National Cemetery (see Find A Grave ref). I think it would be easiest and most correct to change the title of the article to "Carlos Brewer" without any middle initial. My concern is that there are 4 links throughout wikipedia already that point to Carlos Brewer referring to him, which does not have a re-direct so they remain redlinked. Thank you.
